@haunted0clock Yeah he was already shown to be a bit irritable and selfish beforehand, and mix that with him going cold turkey RIGHT beforehand and it’s honestly pretty easy to see how he got to that point.
@XycronVA One of the biggest questions was honestly why they used a caveman specifically. I’m sure it can just be written off as an aesthetic choice carried over from the series, but I theorize that it could be to show the most primal form of a human to avoid potential confusion.
@Protogeist_art@davidefinitely I did find the movie to be pretty overhated honestly, but I think it hit a crescendo during award season when Chalamet won best actor at the Critics Choice and Golden Globes.
@sleepyowlerin I love the idea, but to me atleast the final version just didn’t capture the wood/tree look and gave him that yonic looking hole in his neck…
@M0Riz0_ Meta’s 2022 Super Bowl commercial also had a similar idea of animatronics being sentient and having feelings, and in a bittersweet way it ends with them finding out they have a large online fanbase just like in real life. https://t.co/8Ift2nOFhT
@iamcg83 It's honestly baffling seeing the reaction to this retheme, because mind you the ride experience and story are the EXACT same, yet all I see is people either suddenly acting like the biggest Aerosmith fans or complaining how “it should’ve been Powerline or Hanna-Montana”.
@laytonjennings5 My biggest gripe is just that they’re seemingly avoiding bringing a PPV to Detroit like the plague. The LCA shows did good numbers and a PPV could easily top 15k.
@basedgizmo After Romulus I was hoping he’d get more monster/creature roles similar to Doug Jones and Warwick Davis, so I was honestly so glad to see him get cast in this.
@quirkywhytdevil@basedgizmo In all fairness a lanky monster being in the backrooms is like a fork being in a kitchen, so the initial reaction to him being cast was pleasant, yet not too surprising.
@ieatantz@basedgizmo I admittedly did think of the Smiling Friends blackface joke at one point, but it obviously isn’t even remotely close to being considered it.
