@BruceWatso35371@Nicodemus82@nateyamasaki Um you’re replying to me-replying to a post about a continent vs a country-then you tried to prove the US isn’t internationally dominant in sports. You got proven wrong and shifted points. I can apologize enough for US fans on twitter. But other nations do the same to us every WC
@BruceWatso35371@Nicodemus82@nateyamasaki I didn’t dismiss anything and again, the US is still number two when it comes to Winter Olympics. What’s arrogant here is assuming the US isn’t dominant when you can’t name a sport we are not top 15-20 in internationally. There is no other country that can say that.
@BruceWatso35371@Nicodemus82@nateyamasaki Winter Olympics aren’t going to hurt anyone’s feelings. Good for Norway. The US is dominant in summer, still # 2 in winter. Top 3 in sports we focus on and top 15 sports we do not care about.
Sure, a whole continent with double the population can say the same. No country can.
@MissLauraFong Football, top 20. Cricket, we play the real version of that sport and would dominate if our players played. Tennis, we are actually the best. Cycling, historically the best. Motorsport, we dominate in many fields. Sprinting, best overall country. Long distance, better than euros.
@MissLauraFong@jcteaman Tennis we suck? lol. Most major wins in the Open Era what country can claim they are better? Other sports that we “suck” at we are at worst top 20. Yall are hilarious just hurting your own feelings trying to prove a point
@BruceWatso35371@Nicodemus82@nateyamasaki Not even close bud. More than double the population in Europe. Also, how can you not see the absurdity of comparing 50 countries to one trying to prove a point. How does that even work?
Euro countries keep trying to use “per capita” well the US dominates that with these figures.
@m2kgalaxy@calecampbell88 There are 10 sports you didn’t mention. The US doesn’t focus on those whatsoever and still dominates in them. Prove me wrong or keep saying nothing. Unlike most I’m open to conversing - but that isn’t what’s happening here.
@Raad_Jefferson@thejollyjoe@DanCollins2011 You’re just full of it. I played both (two years college soccer - at a low level school) basketball conditioning is harder. It’s almost the same amount of running with way more explosiveness. And you are never standing around during gameplay. Nice try, you never played either
@Jacobtheclipper Nobody said it was impossible. The challenge is doing it in good form. You embarrassed yourself in front of the world just to have hurt feelings that your point didn’t hit. Lol
@bookhobbitt Okay? They reduced penalty and there’s is one of two reasons I’ll let you decide.
They favored a star player that was important to the tournament.
Or
They did it out of fairness because they thought the penalty did not fit the crime.
@Jake18367335@calecampbell88 Americans have the best golfer in the world and most majors. Most majors in tennis, most championships in UFC, most medals in wrestling, and our college teams beat English rowing teams if that’s what you meant by towers. America DOMINATES international basketball. Try again lol
@LepardSans@ryder0723@GregWaz24@calecampbell88 You’re having to compare it to hockey, that says everything we need to know. If more people were watching soccer than the Euro leagues, MLS, etc would be getting bigger broadcasting deals. Soccer numbers besides the WC don’t come close to baseball.
@calecampbell88 Baseball, basketball, football, t&f, swimming, MMA, Boxing, Wrestling, Golf, Tennis, rowing, gymnastics, diving, are all sports that the US is dominant in. What are you even going on about?
@ryder0723@GregWaz24@calecampbell88 An average nationally broadcast baseball game had 2.28 millions viewers. Average viewership for a nationally broadcast MLS game is 120,000.
It isn’t even close.
@ryder0723@GregWaz24@calecampbell88 This just isn’t true. It’s 3rd in a list of people’s favorite sports. Because a lot of soccer fans don’t care about the big 3. But almost everyone who would answer football or basketball as their top would put baseball ahead of soccer. There are MILLIONS more baseball fans.
