True story:
One time, in college, I taught a VBS class of 1-5 graders. I was going through the truth of the gospel and asked, “So, who is a sinner?” (Intended answer: everyone.)
One girl answered: “My mommy and her boyfriend.”
@Logos In this screenshot, the passages are linked. When I scroll to verse 12 in Eng, it scrolls to verse 12 in Heb, which has the words to the Eng verse 11.
@Logos
It’s 2023. Why can’t we link English and Hebrew texts of the Psalms & have the verses line-up correctly allowing for the difference in the numbering?
#FixIt
@Logos This is one of those instances, which is my point:
When I’ve pulled up the Eng & Heb and link the passages in a comparison window on my iphone app, they link to the verse # not the corresponding words.
@Logos I will email. Thanks!
But I think I can also explain here:
The English versions of the Bible do not number the superscriptions while the Hebrew text does and then counts the next verse as 2 where the English has 1.
