The Iranian navy, which has been destroyed eight times, has apparently closed the Strait of Hormuz again, because the United States, for the seventh time, won the war that wasn’t a war, so now the United States has to open the Strait of Hormuz that was already open before the not-war began.

The not-war began because Iran had uranium that was totally, completely, beautifully obliterated, so they can’t build the nuclear bomb they weren’t building, which is why the United States had to start the not-war it definitely didn’t start.

Now the United States, which has nuclear weapons, is threatening to use nuclear weapons to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, because nuclear weapons are far too dangerous for countries with nuclear weapons to allow other countries to have.

If the United States saw the United States doing what the United States does in other countries, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.

Just when you thought the Trump circus couldn’t get more outrageous, a stunning new report reveals that Trump’s Justice Department is now helping the very man whose lies fueled the whole scandal behind Republican efforts to impeach President Biden during his term.

Alexander Smirnov — the former FBI informant whose bogus bribery claims about Joe Biden became the centerpiece of House Republicans’ impeachment crusade — was convicted of lying to the FBI and sentenced to six years in prison. Prosecutors said his disinformation, tied to contacts with Russian intelligence, polluted American politics and helped push a conspiracy theory that dominated right-wing media for months.

But now comes the jaw-dropping twist.

According to reporting from Mother Jones, Trump’s Justice Department has quietly stepped in to support Smirnov’s appeal to throw out his conviction and withdraw his guilty plea — a highly unusual move that could potentially help the convicted fabricator escape his sentence.

Let’s be clear about who this man is. Federal prosecutors said Smirnov had “extensive” contacts with Russian officials and intelligence-linked figures. They concluded he spread lies about the Bidens in both the 2020 and 2024 election cycles after meeting with Russian intelligence sources.

Those lies — including the debunked claim that Joe and Hunter Biden took $5 million bribes from a Ukrainian company — became the backbone of the Republican Party’s impeachment drive.

And what happened when investigators actually looked into his story? It completely fell apart.

The FBI found there was no evidence that the alleged conversations ever happened. Smirnov eventually pleaded guilty to lying. His arrest effectively collapsed the Republican impeachment narrative overnight.

BREAKING: SHOCKING TESTIMONY reveals DOGE operative wiped out research funding without training or experience

A jaw-dropping deposition is shedding new light on how the Trump administration’s controversial DOGE initiative decided which federal research grants deserved to live — and which would be wiped out.

The answer? Apparently… vibes.

Under oath, DOGE staffer Nathan Cavanaugh admitted that he and another colleague personally labeled several academic grants as the “craziest” they had seen — and canceled them despite having no experience in grant review, federal research funding, or scholarly peer review.

When pressed on why one research project was targeted, Cavanaugh didn’t point to fraud, waste, or flawed methodology. His reason? The project mentioned “feminist and queer insights.” That alone was enough.

Another grant examining the experiences of marginalized military veterans — including women, Black service members, Native Americans, immigrants, and LGBTQ troops — was also flagged and canceled. Why? Because the description “explicitly says LGBTQ.”

That was the entire explanation.

When the lawyer conducting the deposition asked Cavanaugh whether he had any background in scholarly peer review or grant evaluation, the answer was simple: “No.”

The attorney then asked whether it was appropriate for a twenty-something with no experience reviewing federal grants to make sweeping decisions that could destroy researchers’ careers and cut off funding for academic work.

Cavanaugh’s response? He saw nothing wrong with it. He argued that someone could make those decisions simply by being “well-informed” from reading books.

The lawyer then asked the obvious follow-up question: Which books? Cavanaugh’s answer? “There were no books.”

And the irony gets even sharper.

Earlier in the deposition, Cavanaugh insisted he had no regrets about people losing income and research funding because the cuts were meant to reduce the federal deficit. When asked if those actions actually reduced the deficit, he admitted they did not.

So to recap: federal research grants were canceled by people with no expertise, no training, no peer review experience, and apparently no research to guide their decisions — simply because certain projects mentioned LGBTQ issues or feminism.

And the people making those calls say they see absolutely nothing wrong with that. That’s why so many people are finally realizing that MAGA actually stands for “Morons Are Governing America.”

The Wall Street Journal alleges that the real motivation behind Trump’s eagerness to force Ukraine into an ugly surrender is the idea that a lot of people close to him can make a lot of money doing business and deals in Russia.

If this is true, beyond the disgusting morality of this and the huge geopolitical risks that it creates, none of these people salivating over their future riches are going to make a penny, and perhaps do a lot worse.

I was once the largest foreign investor in Russia and I can say with certainty that the Russians aren’t going to let anyone profit in any way. They will talk nice at the outset to attract the investment, but once it’s there, they will steal, defraud, arrest, torture or even kill to make sure that no American makes any money. I’ve seen it so many times it’s almost universal.

So, this shocking initiative is not only terrible policy, it’s spectacularly stupid business.

I honestly can’t hold this in anymore.

Donald Trump and Nigel Farage are not aberrations. They are the same project, running in two countries, with the same backers, the same tactics, and the same end goal.

Both wrap themselves in flags while looting the country they claim to love. Both posture as champions of “ordinary people” while serving billionaire interests. Both scream about morality, family values, and patriotism while embodying corruption, cruelty, and hypocrisy at a scale that would have ended any serious political career a generation ago.

Trump has been found liable for sexual assault. He has a documented history of misogyny, racism, and outright contempt for the rule of law. He is repeatedly linked to Epstein’s circle, praised authoritarian strongmen, undermined democratic institutions, and treated public office like a personal cash machine.

Farage plays the same game in a British accent. He gets a free pass despite his proximity to the same toxic networks, the same culture-war opportunism, the same pattern of scandal that would destroy anyone else. Reform isn’t a grassroots movement. It’s a fear-driven marketing operation, propped up by billionaire money, bot-amplified engagement, and relentless misinformation.

Immigrants. Minorities. “Woke elites.” Trans people. The EU. The media. There’s always a target, always a threat, always someone to blame. Not because it’s true, but because fear is profitable. Fear keeps people angry, distracted, and voting against their own economic interests.

And that’s the real point. While people argue about flags and pronouns, vast amounts of wealth continue to move upwards. Away from workers. Away from public services. Away from communities. Straight into the hands of donors, allies, family members, and friendly corporations. Deregulation. Tax cuts. Asset stripping. Corruption dressed up as populism.

The most grotesque part is the hypocrisy. The people who claim to care about faith, family, freedom, and national pride are cheering for men who violate all of it openly. Lying, cheating, assaulting, scapegoating, enriching themselves, and laughing while they do it.

This isn’t about left vs right anymore. It’s about whether we’re willing to admit what this actually is. A billionaire-funded con that feeds on fear, corrodes democracy, and treats ordinary people as expendable.

If this is what you’re still defending, then stop pretending it’s about values. At least be honest about what you’re supporting.
