There is no such thing as a single global gas market, and there is no single global price for fossil fuels.

Gas is priced differently around the world.

In America they pay Henry Hub prices - around $3-4.
In Europe we pay TTF,
in the UK we pay NBP - around $10-$12 for the same amount of gas. Asia pays JKM, another price again.

So I'm sick of being told our bills are sky high "because of global rates".

If it was really just global rates, 💥everyone's💥 bills would be sky high - not just Britain's.

How can America be paying $3 and we're paying 3-4 times that for the same gas if it's a global market? It's not. It's Government policy.

Looks like the petition will pass 80,000 today. 👏

Momentum has really picked up over the last week or so, so hopefully we'll get past 100,000 before the deadline and trigger a debate in Parliament.

But will there be any MPs who will speak for us?

There's little sign anyone there has any interest in government medicating the population via food.

Perhaps because both Labour and Conservatives are to blame for this policy. It's all rather similar to the situation over COVID vaccine safety and efficacy.

But maybe @danny__kruger will speak up about it, as he did about the COVID vaccines.

Finally, it's being widely talked about!

Folic acid should be nowhere near staple foods.
Arguably it shouldn't even be in supplements.
A small proportion of the population might need folate supplements.
So: let's find out who those people are, and give them folate supplements, and keep unnecessary and potentially harmful medicines out of everyone's food. There's enough crap in processed food already without adding medicine as well.

Just a thought. If you had a private pension but before they pay out what you have already paid in over 40years they take £100 off for evey £1000 of yor savings would you be happy.......don't be such a wally. Nobody would so why suggest it for OAP payments!!
