Soccer Australia understood that multiculturalism was fine for food festivals, but was a barrier to a unified national sporting identity. Teams changed- Sydney Croatia to Sydney FC, Adelaide Juventus to Adelaide City, & Melbourne Victory was created anew, not Hellas or Makedonia.

@AvidCommentator I feel the continual "stolen land", "we're all immigrants" and "diversity is our strength" mantras have been pushed so hard that many Australians second guess their natural opposition to rapid demographic change and cultural displacement.
