On Sunday, July 5, 2026, The Tabernacle Choir @TheTabChoir and Orchestra at Temple Square will mark the 250th anniversary of the United States with two special performances of “Music & the Spoken Word.” Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid will join the Choir as guest narrator for the 9:30 a.m. MDT and 11 a.m. MDTperformances.
Today, June 5, at 10 a.m. MDT, a limited number of free tickets to the July 5 performances will be made available. Visitors can learn more at https://t.co/yqhAGYEA2L.
Due to ongoing construction on Temple Square, there will not be a secondary viewing location available for “Music & the Spoken Word,” and a capacity crowd for both performances is expected.
All are encouraged to watch the broadcast at 9:10 a.m. MDT on the Choir’s YouTube channel as part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ recognition of this historic anniversary.

The storm that you are in will end. It will run its course. All you have to do is keep fighting. Keep believing. Make the proper adjustments.. God has something special in store for you and you will see the sunshine on your life if you don’t give up.
I invite you to take a screenshot of this word cloud and additional graphics summarizing our discussion during the worldwide devotional for young adults.
These principles of the gospel, alongside practical applications of gospel living, demonstrate that Jesus Christ and His Atonement live at the center of our effort to deepen conversion.
Please reserve some quiet time within the next week to prayerfully consider these precepts with others that will come to your mind, that will lead to deepening your conversion and lifelong discipleship to Jesus Christ.
I feel to shout from the X rooftops that Joseph Smith is a true Prophet whom the Lord raised up and ordained, and to whom he gave keys and power to build up the kingdom of God on earth. I don't worship Joseph, but I love him and esteem him highly. My life has been blessed beyond measure, and I am so much closer to my Savior, because of the light and knowledge that was restored by God to the world through him. Joseph doesn't need me to defend him, but I will do so until my dying breath. Praise to the man!
Today is Good Friday.
Thank you, Jesus for your amazing and unthinkable sacrifice. You died so that we would have life, and life in abundance.
“It was nine in the morning when they crucified him. The written notice of the charge against him read: the king of the jews … With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last. The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died, he said, ‘Surely this man was the Son of God!’”
Mark 15
Jesus did not design accepting Him as your Savior as a one-time event, but as a lifelong process.
Yes, we are saved by Him, but we can also be transformed by Him.
Two new statues, “Jesus Christ Carrying the Cross” and “Jesus Christ in Gethsemane,” have debuted on the south side of the Salt Lake Temple. Visitors can view the statues from a distance as the statues are in an area of Temple Square still under construction.
Their placement comes at a meaningful time of year, the Easter season, which holds profound significance for Christians around the world as they commemorate the final week of Jesus Christ's life, culminating in His Resurrection.

BYU and Utah State should play at least every other year. I can’t believe it can’t be figured out on a regular basis. Two really good programs in the same state not playing doesn’t make sense.
Great year for both of those programs.
The March 2026 update to the Church’s “General Handbook,” prepared under the direction of the First Presidency, includes several adjustments.
A few of them are:
Revised language emphasizing ordinances and covenants as central in God’s work of salvation and exaltation (chapter 1)
Updated information about calling ward Sunday School presidencies that are all men or all women (13.2.2.1)
A new section about caring for the earth (38.8.6)
These updates are online and will appear in the Gospel Library app in the next 24 to 48 hours.
