Just got off the phone with a new volunteer with the most amazing story. Back in the 70's, her son had to go to a disabled school because he wasn't admitted to the school that all the other children went to. It was run by the State and charged 10% of the parent's gross income.

Anya is on day 94 in the NICU. She never met Carroll. But every day she’s cared for by people just like her.
