Gatundu South MP Gabriel “GG” Kagombe was captured in a viral video shooting into a crowd, actions initially described by some witnesses as shooting in the air, during a violent political clash on May 17, 2024, in Kiganjo, Thika.

The confrontation escalated into a murder investigation after ballistic tests confirmed that his firearm fired the bullet that killed 26-year-old boda boda rider David Nduati Wataha.

He has now quit UDA and wants to join a new party to seek re-election. He also voted Yes for the Finance Bill 2024.
