If one listened closely to Rev. Lawson's eulogy, the N'ville mov't was not entirely student-led or produced. It was intergenerational. Undoubtedly, Revs. Kelly Miller Smith, Andrew White, & others were equally instrument. Lawson was the bridge btw young and older activists. 1/
"..it was the children . . . the John Lewises & the Diane Nashes & Bernard LaFayettes, all of those folks that were between 18 & 24. They were what led the movement. You've got to have that young energy for a movement to be sustainable."- @TNLevelhead https://t.co/VAyDJo0DW7

MAJOR congrats to our @AndrewsInstitut alumnus Jason Carney, who is continuing the work he began while working on his Masters at @lipscomb. Jason is working to bring solar energy to communities of color across the city of Nashville!

Jason Carney doesn't know of any black household in Nashville — aside from his own — that has installed solar.
Using his industry expertise, he worked with students at a majority-black public school to develop a solar array. https://t.co/u3ptnQY8m6
Very proud of @TNLevelhead for his continued work to bring solar energy to communities of color. He began this work as a student in our @AndrewsInstitut Master Program! Keep up the good work, Jason!
