All of my professional growth happened through networking and communities, so social media is a brand-new world.
Nonetheless, I hope the content below will be thought-provoking and useful for those who find my page!
Replying to all, so feel welcome. Debate is mutual growth.
For me, nothing beats my Time in Bed (TIB) that is tracked in Toggl and always on display through Timery’s widget.
Whoop is great and is part of my life for the past 3 years - but visualisation is not its strongest feature.
You can play games as a means of self-discovery of your psyche in a contained environment.
Do you kill NPCs or spare them? Do you save resources or risk them all? Do you get up close or keep your distance?
Then ask: why? Go beyond “it’s just a game” - it’s you in another body.
Single most important skill to master AI for self-development? Meditation.
The more internal context you can integrate into the prompt - feelings, dreams, body sensations, images, memories, metaphors - the better AI would understand the person reflecting by his side.
@samkolder It is great for those who like to view the problem from all angles and have enough awareness to build their own decision-making system - but terrible for those who want certainty and definitive answers without understanding the complexity and nuance of the questions asked.
@samkolder The only problem is that having an entire view without a sophisticated system for choosing a single point of view creates contradictions in the answers because of the amount of contradictory data AI was trained on.
@JulianUnlocked Game changed when I’ve integrated my habit of time-tracking in Toggl with TIB, using Timery app and its widget to visualise the data on my Home Screen.
If something is your priority - it should always by in front of your eyes with no distractions.
@JulianUnlocked Having to choose one single data point that changes the most of my life when focusing on it - that would be my TIB (time in bed).
I’ve been using Whoop for the past 3 years, but it has way too much data with no proper visualisation to create a habit around.
@StevenBartlett@AdamNeumann Steven, we are waiting for your feedback on technology Shabbat 🤍
Thank you, Adam, for an amazing episode. You are an exceptional example of resilience and gratitude.
@samkolder “Papaoutai - Afro Soul”. I don’t care that it was made by AI (and a genius operating it). I still jam every time I listen to it.
Will I enjoy it even more performed live by an artist and an orchestra? Sure.
Do I enjoy it any less than mass produced soulless songs of today? No.
@samkolder Sam, I am genuinely surprised at how many people disrespect you in the comment section.
Not a single founder I know who has mastered AI in his field would’ve been triggered.
Creativity stems from connecting past data in new ways. That’s a reasonable way to look at it.
@RobertJBye Please add syncing of chats used in VS Code back to Claude desktop chats list - right now it only works one way (VS Code shows Claude Code Desktop app chats, but not vice versa)
