@DavidSacks Well, can you confirm, that in a case of a threat to his/her position and finance from competitors or newcomers this hypothetical person would not use government apparatus for his/her advantage ?
@_tim_brooks Perfect synergy! LLM is the a very efficient memory storage device, and it needs an integration with a kind of a game engine for the word simulation (humans are not different - we also have both)
@deedydas In good old times of client-server architecture "server" 90% of the time meant some form of database and a big portion of sql code :) no one could even think about an idea of moving data back and forth to execute core logic outside of the database ...
@Plinz Well, LLM is just a huge library that can quote statistically connected sentences; Language is a set of labels (or pointers) to the objects; Language is not enough to learn language, if you speak about meaning behind the words
@deedydas Well, in my time writing a compiler was a normal task, and not the hardest one. The hard part was to use mostly pen and paper to debug code (8k lines in that case) - we didn't have enough access to the computers back than....
@zeeg Well, after being able to get away from working thru real teminal and compiling/editing in parallel around 2000, because of performance issues, I see no reason to use neovim (except nostalgia)
@janetacarr@AaronKempf3 You know, around 2000 we used cheap PC instead of $$$ HP servers (having access to both) as more productive for some tasks.... Does it mean we don't need servers?
