Myanmar’s civilian National Unity Government’s acting president Duwa Lashi La tweeted that he was “extremely saddened and outraged” after the execution of four democracy activists, including Ko Jimmy and Ko Phyo Zeya Thaw.
We are devastated by news . Th executions of political activists Phyo Zeya Thaw, Ko Jimmy, Hla Myo Aung and Aung Thura Zaw are #CrimesAgainstHumanity. They were murdered by the military regime. Min Aung Hlaing and his fellows must be punished by the world.
A renowned #Thailand pro-democracy leader @paritchi, known as "Penguin" condemned #Myanmar#military's execution as "clear violation of basic human rights & attack on Myanmar democracy". Adds this "shows how cruel military dictatorship can be" #WhatsHappeninglnMyanmar#เมียนมา

The fascist military has nothing except disgraceful cowardice". - SamKoSai
“I didn’t think my son would be killed so quickly,” she said in an interview. “As a mother, I am proud of my son for giving his life. If possible, I would like to take the ashes and create a monument to the martyrs.”

As we salute the courage of Ko Jimmy and Phyo Zeyar Thaw we remember the more than 15,000 other lives lost as a result of the junta’s terrorist acts. ASEAN and UN Member States must understand that Min Aung Hlaing will never listen, nor commit to any promise he has made.
Increasingly powerful #Myanmar#ethnic#ArakanArmy says #military has destroyed any potential good political prospects by executing the 4 political prisoners. #AA has consistently rejected military's invite for peace talks & is in conflict with army #WhatsHappeninglnMyanmar 1/2
.@UNHumanRights chief @mbachelet says "For the (#Myanmar) #military to widen its killing will only deepen its entanglement in the crisis it has itself created" & executions show "cruel violations of the rights to life...& fair trial guarantees". #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar
Strongly condemning #Myanmar junta's outrageous & cruel execution of 4 political prisoners, demanding the international community wake up and take real action, like sanctions on MOGE and an international arms embargo vs #Burma's police & military! #WhatsHappeninglnMyanmar@hrw
UN Special Rapporteur @RapporteurUn said the "depraved acts must be a turning point for the international community". People in Myanmar fear outrage alone will not stop more executions. https://t.co/xdB192RNou #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar
At least four people were killed due to SAC vehicle drives through a group of protesters and opened fire at Pan Pin Gyi Road in Kyeemyindaing, Rangoon on Sunday
Terrible pics emerging from #GantGaw township of yet another alleged massacre. #Myanmar’s military is at war with its own people. #WhatsHappeninglnMyanmar constitutes crimes against humanity.
Many inside Myanmar do not describe this as a civil war - rather a “people’s defensive war” against a brutal and repressive regime. With little to no help from international powers what choice do they have?
Stay strong Myanmar.
