If two things grow at different speeds over time — income vs. essential costs (housing, food, healthcare, etc.) — the slower one (your paycheck) will eventually get crushed by the faster one. We’re already well past that point in many places.

Just looking at the absolute salary number tells you nothing. What matters is whether it actually covers the basics anymore.

It just took us some time to “invent” a rigor enough language to express/communicate them.
It’s more like the evolution of information through time.
Having a paper to write on a formal universal language is just like enhancing human computing power, so does a computer.
