Most people in the UK either won't know about this new law - or they won't get how serious it is. Why? Because our media won't give it the same coverage or analysis they would if it had passed in another country.
When working-class people can’t afford to pay a speeding ticket because of poverty wages or a black kid has some weed, they can end up in jail. Yet when the Health minister breaks the law it barely makes the BBC headlines and he faces no action.
