Yes! But Jake’s dad is also arguably the best coach in the state… with connections.
No question Jake deserves it but he has some advantages
Not all kids do.
But… by and large. Your 10000% correct
Jake Quackenbush is headed to D2 basketball on a full ride, won a district title and made many great memories as a senior without playing AAU before his senior year
You don’t have to play AAU to make it. Families don’t have to get ripped off like this every weekend
I'm 87% sold kids/adults enjoy entering the transfer portal/committing to a new school solely for the edit & posting "let's work." We live in a society that bases a lot of its worth on likes, attention, & follows, so this should come as no surprise. Your worth is NOT in likes!

Incredible take from Charles Barkley on Tom Izzo:
"The media, who don't know anything about sports, say 'Why is he yelling his players?' That's called coaching... if parents & friends get mad because you're getting yelled at, get better parents & better friends."
Loyal assistant coaches matter more than most people realize.
They support the vision.
They protect the culture.
They tell you the truth.
Great programs aren’t built by one coach.
They’re built by a loyal staff that pulls in the same direction.
