@SamaHoole You forgot the fact that if mad Ed Milliband gets his way, we won't be allowed to eat meat, so all those animals effectively go extinct! Then with fertiliser shortages we'll starve. Not very sustainable!
@ProfRayWills Now show the costs of inverters, cable, switchgear, transformers and grid stabilising hardware. All going up due to supply/demand pressures. Solar isn't cheap and only despatches 11% in the northern hemisphere. A waste of good hardware!
@SamaHoole Ed Milliband is now going into treasonous territory when insisting we eat less meat. CH4 is not a warming threat! We need to eat meat and animal fats to stay healthy. The main reason we have obesity and T2D is because of a diet devoid of meat and fat. CH4 is in a closed cycle!
@HannoKlausmeier Sorry, your slide does not explain high electricity prices in the UK. It's just got worse and worse here. Having over 300% generating capacity for only 100% demand is the first problem.
@domdyer70@aliciakearns "lab grown meat" is an abomination! We already have a terrible problem with big food and all the processed rubbish that we eat. We need to get back to real food.
@domdyer70@aliciakearns Rubbish! There is no problem expanding the herds and flocks to increase production of real food. CH4 from ruminants is NOT a threat. Ruminants are net carbon negative due to soil sequestration. CH4 is in a closed loop cycle with CO2 in the air.
@Petagna 2nd half of May. Why not just count the one week heatwave and make the number look even more scary! What a joke. A bit like the Met office relying on the Heathrow cat 4 temperature stations for a "record"! No one's denying the planet has warmed, but don't exaggerated it.
@medialens Of course you need belief, because you have to decide who to believe. When scientists, politicians and media have all been shown to have lied, you lose faith in them. "Trust the science" is no longer good enough.
Scientists were happy to go along with politician's lies.
@ImtiazMadmood Solar is about 11%. It's not cheap when you factor in all the costs. Or energy is already the most expensive, and is going to increase. This is a slow train wreck because people don't understand how it works. We need cheap nuclear (re-regulated).
@PolitlcsUK He's entitled to his opinion, but any sensible politician would deflect from commenting on a trivial subject like that. "It's up to them what they charge" is the correct response. Whinging about prices just makes him look like a hypocrite. Lower our taxes and we'd afford bottles!
@RupertLowe10 Rupert, you have described the malaise that a capitalist system will always suffer when it gets "socialised" without any checks and balances. In days gone by it was wars that trimmed back a bloated govt. We need another mechanism to keep the bloat in check when there's peace.
@ATomalty They should NOT have put the panel at the same height as the Stephenson screen! If the wind is blowing from the panel to the screen a plume of warm air could come off the panel and straight into the screen. The fence at the back of the screen could also force warm air up into it
@elonmusk When's there Roadster going to be produced? We need a simple stripped-back minimalist EV. No touch screens. Just a basic car that gets back to the pure joy of driving.
@bphillipsonMP Look at the nutritional guidance for these "free" breakfasts. All refined carbs and fruit aka sugar. This is not good. You have a duty of care that you are shirking. Kids need protein and fat from real food.
@UKLabour The guidance for the breakfast menu is full of refined starches, fruit (aka sugar) and low fat dairy. That is not a healthy breakfast for growing kids. What a disgrace!
