Not a parliamentarian.
Not a member of the Shadow Cabinet.
And certainly not the Shadow Home Secretary.
Also missed “Ltd” off the end of Reform UK.
This is just not true, @ZiaYusufUK
Oh here we go again. @YorkshireWater claiming they are "INVESTING" £8.3 billion between 2025 - 2030.
That of course turns out to be completely untrue.
The only money I can see that shareholders are putting into the business is paying back the "loan" they took, by March 2027 and the £100 million they were supposed to pay to help reduce sewage dumping by the end of March 2025.
Every other damned penny of that £8.3 billion, that's £8.2 billion is being funded directly out of bill payers' pockets and not a damned thing to do with shareholders.
Why are water companies allowed to tell such utter lies?
Ofwat?
The moment of one of today’s Russian strikes on Kyiv.
I can see that fewer and fewer people are reading news from Ukraine. I understand that on a Sunday morning, people don’t want to read about war. They want to sleep a little longer, drink good coffee, and sit in the sun. I understand that. The algorithms on X limit content about war, destruction, and suffering. You have to make an effort to even see this information.
All of this is understandable on a human level. But unfortunately, if you remove Putin and the war from your information feed, they do not disappear from reality.
Putin is a sadist and a maniac. He is a threat to all of humanity.
There needs to be active resistance. News from Ukraine needs to be shared. People need to keep their focus.
Despite a sleepless night, I’m still here. And I’m grateful to everyone who continues to stand with us.
One day, we’ll drink morning coffee together in a beautiful, peaceful Kyiv.
“Don't swim' at 12 of 14 river bathing sites, as more locations announced.”
Here’s something to wrap your head around.
The only stretch of river graded as ‘Good’ is at Friars Meadow, Sudbury yet from 13th March to the 13th April Anglian Water dumped sewage into Friars Meadow nonstop 24 hours a day for 31 days straight. If you went swimming there during the Easter holidays you were probably swimming in human waste but none of it shows in the data because the EA don’t even bother testing until the middle of May.
PS the EA don’t actually test any bathing site in the country for most of the year 7 and a half months in fact. You go swimming between 1st Oct one year and 15th May the next you’re on your own.

Another hit for Russian backed candidate Mr Farage. A real newspaper might have devoted a front page or two to his five million quid “gift for security” (sic) Amazing what can happen when the son of a KGB agent owns a paper and Thailand crypto billionaire gives money to burn
.@BBCNewsnight talking about the undeclared personal gift of 5 million quid from British-Thai Billionaire @reformparty_uk and ex Tory donor businessman Christopher Harborne to @Nigel_Farage.
My message to Britain's holidaymakers this summer is simple: we are not currently seeing disruption to jet fuel supplies. But if we do, we've got your back.

Just because I was given £5 million in 2024 and later the same year my girlfriend spent £885,000 she didn’t have on a house that I said “I bought”, does not mean the two things are connected.
"Southern Water admits sewage pollution which occurred weeks after record fine."
In 2021 Southern Water was fined £90,000,000 for illegally dumping sewage into the environment on almost 7,000 separate occasions.
They have now also admitted that for the following 2 years they kept on illegally dumping sewage into Swalecliffe Brook in Whitstable and Faversham Creek causing fish kills and widespread devastation.
Can someone explain to me why the CEO and directors aren't going to jail for this?

We are investing in new rail, roads, and nuclear reactors.
New scanners for our hospitals and free breakfast clubs for our children.
We’re not going to let the Conservatives - or their friends in Reform - tear that down.
In a healthy democracy we would have journalists doing this kind of thing. But in the days of “Give Nigel a free pass” media MPs have to do it instead. Ps the open financial greed and grift is very much part of the “Trump’s man in London” Farage strategy
@UKLabour @MikeTappTweets @LucyMPowell @darrenpjones How is this delivering for voters? How is this meeting the manifesto? 10 more years!! Looks spineless like the last Tory government and let’s Reform in. Change it quickly! https://t.co/bpRUlPTz5J
The Government wants new water laws that lock us into decades of rip-off privatisation - without asking the public.
82% of Brits support public ownership. You won’t get a say.
Stop the stitch-up. Demand a real public consultation: https://t.co/BpTWhhWc5y
