I know I haven’t tweeted in a while, but seeing #thelorax trending with banned books, I felt like Twitter needs to find out about this gem: https://t.co/NnQnkK2mPi This is an actually published book. I bought a copy a few years ago and used to read it to my students w/the Lorax.
@Ms_Paperclips @Steve_ForChange @NicholasFerroni In many districts in the states, you top out of the teaching scale at ~85,000 after 20+ years. And that’s pre-taxes and everything else. And that’s with a Masters Degree.
@JustLB The intent of protecting the teachers is there (even if it’s not, I think he genuinely believes it is) but I think the bigger issue is using text to communicate in this way. These type of matters should ALWAYS be handled with a phone call. Texts are for information.
Got back into the swing this week! We worked hard at building our classroom community and got to know each other using @AndyLeiser created @Seesaw activities involving emojis. Take a look at some of our work:
10 years ago this girl sat in my class, just as scared to start her first year of third grade as I was to start my first year. Now she’s speaking at commencement! Congratulations, Deanna! #ISD200
Had a great time in San Francisco on spring break this week! Best part was getting to finally see @Seesaw HQ in person. Everyone was AMAZINGLY welcoming, and I enjoyed chatting with Mila! Thanks for a great visit.
@AndyLeiser @espn@BadgerFootball So I haven’t tweeted in a LONG time (and I HAVE to get better at that) but I decided this required my attention. Not only is tennis an amazing sport (much, MUCH better than anything from Wisconsin) but @Venuseswilliams vs. @serenawilliams is EPIC!
