Up until 10 years ago, such brazen racism would have ended the career of even the most rightwing politician.
Today you can be president. We are in a very dark place as a country.
The neoliberal mainstream constantly scaremongers over inflation and currency devaluation, falsely blaming them on 'government spending' and the 'money supply'. In fact currencies have been devaluing for centuries. The fundamental causes are the conflicting claims of sellers versus workers/consumers constantly jacking up prices and wages, cost-push price increases as supplies (particularly energy) become more expensive, and nominal growth needed to manage private debt and sustain employment and aggregate demand.
The US$ has lost 97% of its purchasing power since 1913, yet the nation constantly grew richer and after 1944 maintained a valuable reserve currency. What's more, as 1929 taught us, managed inflation is preferable to deflation. It's all panic over nothing, but the constant scaremongering functions politically because money market manipulators can temporarily accelerate the process, put the fear of God into everyone and force governments into fiscal tightening and austerity.
The system's imminent implosion isn't down to inflation and currency devaluation - in fact Western currencies are overvalued. The fundamental cause is the towering burden of private debt - not government debt - that producers and consumers are struggling to repay. This was the underlying factor behind the two major civilizational collapses we've seen since the private credit system was introduced. Remember - debt that can't be repaid won't be repaid, and when too many lenders stop lending and too many debtors stop repaying, a society shatters along its major socioeconomic fault line.
Many Israeli citizens were killed by Israeli forces on October 7.
28 Apache helicopters used all their ammunition and had to be reloaded.
Mainstream media will never tell you about the Hannibal Directive.
Here’s our report with @pularjs on what really happened on Oct 7:
It's not your 'success' were complaining about. That's defensive framing to make us look 'envious'.
1. Shit wages
2. Exploitative work conditions
3. Market sector monopolisation
4. High street decline
5. Tax avoidance
6. Political interference
7. Talking bullshit on the media
"The cost of carrying oil from inside the Persian Gulf to China rose to a record $1.3 million a day Monday, according to data from the Baltic Exchange in London. The rate averaged close to $60,000 a day last year and has soared as the number of shipowners willing to cross Hormuz dwindled."
Look at this response to a post from Rethinking Economics @rethinkecon. To believe that human beings can think and act beyond what 'the market' tells them is hubris. 'The market' is divine wisdom. We're in the grip of an institutionalised and globalised religious cult.
Manchester marched tonight
One voice:
‘We will never be blind to genocide’
End the ethnic cleansing
End the occupation
Stop the genocide
Israel 🇮🇱 is a rogue state
Stop selling 🇬🇧 arms to 🇮🇱
Ban 🇮🇱 money from 🇬🇧 politics
Expel 🇮🇱 from the UN now.
@andyburnham You're problem is that you're not ending Thatcher's neoclassical economic illiteracy and garbage! End adherence to that failed economics and return to Keynesian economics that brought growth and wealth to people between and of WWII and the 1970s. That'd be great.
Is that it?
Andy Burnham promised to end 40 years of neoliberalism. Not by ending monetarism, shrinking the financial sector, controlling bank lending, increasing welfare, guarantee work at a living wage and growing the real economy - it’s an effing map.
Vote 💚
@cohler Smarter than tens of thousands of climate scientists around the world, many of them physicists like me, who have no trouble understanding averaging of temperature over surface areas, and who know it’s a fact that all of the CO2 increase in the atmosphere is from our emissions? 🙄
“Why did the Palestinians initiate this on Oct 7?”
Max Blumenthal (Jew): “They didn’t. This war has been going on for 75 years. Israel initiated it in 1948 by ethnically cleansing 750,000 people.”
This photo was taken of our Palestinian grandparents in 1948, as they were forcibly displaced from their homes and land.
This did not begin three years ago. It began decades ago.
“The Israelis are in this sick, disgusting cult… they have been slaughtering Palestinian children since day one!”

Krishnan Guru-Murthy, "How long do you think its going to take for people to forget you ran the country for 14 years?"
Helen Whateley, "Kemi has published an essay called The Right Way, really thinking about what's gone wrong with the country"
14 years of Tory austerity 🤷♀️
My view: Fourteen years of Conservative government hollowed out the public realm: councils stripped back, NHS waiting lists soared, social care was left in crisis, schools and courts were squeezed, and living standards stagnated for many people.
Then Brexit added trade barriers, labour shortages, higher costs and less investment to an economy already weakened by austerity.
Kemi Badenoch can publish as many essays as she likes, but the party cannot meaningfully diagnose Britain’s decline without acknowledging its central role in causing it.
There is massively more outrage in the UK media and political class about a Green Party resolution, than about the massacre of 30,000 plus children in Gaza.
