Hard to express how infuriating and disappointing this is.
The supposed remorse is hard to take seriously when “the 31-year-old smiled and winked at someone when the sentence was imposed”.

Global life expectancy is ~73 years or 26,645 days. That means roughly 300,000 people are currently experiencing the #1 worst day of their life and 300,000 more are experiencing the #1 best.
As you read this, 200 people are in their very worst minute with 200 more in their best.
The numbers are in: In 2024, @TheOceanCleanup removed 11,740,000 kg of trash—a 78% year-over-year increase.
A big thank-you to everyone who helped make this happen!
Now, let’s double this in 2025!
Stanford just hosted a hackathon. Over 1000 students from around the world came to build for 36 hours straight.
The reward? $100k+ in prizes.
Here are the winners and crowd standouts we saw at TreeHacks ‘24 @hackwithtrees (🧵):
People quote tweeting this like the army has been deployed to Dublin City centre. That's the crossroads in Terenure village & army vehicles pass through coming from the Curragh camp going to Catholic Brugha barracks in Rathmines all the time.
Kurt Vonnegut's 8 rules for writing:
1. Use the time of a total stranger in such a way that he or she will not feel the time was wasted.
2. Give the reader at least one character he or she can root for.
3. Every character should want something, even if it is only a glass of water.
4. Every sentence must do one of two things—reveal character or advance the action.
5. Start as close to the end as possible.
6. Be a sadist. No matter how sweet and innocent your leading characters, make awful things happen to them-in order that the reader may see what they are made of.
7. Write to please just one person. If you open a window and make love to the world, so to speak, your story will get pneumonia.
8. Give your readers as much information as possible as soon as possible. To hell with suspense. Readers should have such complete understanding of what is going on, where and why, that they could finish the story themselves, should cockroaches eat the last few pages.
2 weeks in and the feedback from the special has been oddly and overwhelmingly nice. Feels strange. On the road to 200k clicks. If you haven’t seen it please pop it on. If you have seen it thank you very much.
Hi @KLM I have had a compliant open with your team since last May. I have contacted your team on three separate occasions and have not heard anything back. Really poor customer service. Starting to feel like we wasted our money booking directly with you
All I'm thinking of, is the absolute content on the Joe Duffy show on Friday about this Bank of Ireland glitch.
"Joe, I done nothing wrong, I'm ENTITLED to this money"
