Next Bridge Hydrocarbons CEO Greg McCabe to appear on “Making Money w/ Charles Payne” on the Fox Business Network. We are pleased to announce Chairman and CEO Greg McCabe will be live, in-studio with Fox Business host Charles Payne for an interview this Monday, October 26, 2026.
So I was home last night making dinner. Just as I was pulling the delectable frozen pizza from the oven my daughter called. She said she and her boyfriend were at Bryant Lake Bowl (a local bowling alley here in Minneapolis). They were 90% certain that Robert Plant was there bowling.
At first I scoffed. But she insisted and as we talked her boyfriend chimed in that he was positive that indeed it was Mr Robert Plant.
My heart raced. Led Zeppelin was the first band I obsessed over. The first vinyl I bought was Led Zeppelin III. A couple years later it was the same album I chose as my first CD purchase in 1989. They were foundational in my life and inspired my love of great music.
So I abandoned my dinner and took off in my truck to get there and possibly *fingers crossed* snag a picture with Mr Plant.
Along the way my daughter called, warning me to hurry as it looked like Mr Plant and his entourage were getting ready to leave.
I floored it.
I scored a parking spot right on Lake Street in front of Bryant Lake Bowl. Yes!
I calmly raced into the bowling alley and found that my daughter and her boyfriend with 2 lanes down from Mr Plant. They warned me that Plant's manager was preventing anyone from approaching Mr Plant.
But I knew I had to try. This was Robert friggin Plant, after all. How could I find myself so close to someone so foundational to my life and not try to at least express my gratitude for him and the music he created?
So I calmly approached Mr Plant. His manager obstructed me, shaking his head, "No, mate". I pleaded, "I just need to tell him how much his music has meant to me." "No, mate" his manager said again while shaking his head. I could tell I wasn't going to get anywhere and ultimately I chose to respect his boundaries and move on. I bowled a few rounds with my daughter (with Mr Plant a couple lanes over - and bowling better than me, I might add!), downed my beer and headed home.
I woke up this morning to this picture. It turns out my daughter's boyfriend (who plays in a bluegrass band here in the Twin Cities) struck up a conversation with Mr Plant's bandmates. They spoke for over an hour. Just as Mr Plant and his entourage were getting up to leave my daughter's boyfriend tried to ask for a picture. The manager re-buffed him. But, Mr Plant shrugged him off and motioned them over for a photo.
So this is them, with Mr Plant posing with their leftover nachos.
I wish I was there but it warms my heart that my daughter got to meet a living musical legend.
OVER A BILLION COUNTERFEIT SHARES
Greg McCabe, CEO of Next Bridge Hydrocarbons, says the evidence points to potentially more than a billion counterfeit shares tied to his company.
On Going Rogue with Lara Logan, McCabe explains why he believes what happened to Next Bridge is not an isolated case.
“We are not an outlier. We are the tip of the iceberg.”
McCabe argues that similar practices extend across the financial markets, pointing to concerns raised around GameStop, AMC, President Trump’s Truth Social and Elon Musk’s Tesla.
Lara Logan asks the central question: If this can happen on this scale, what does it say about the regulators charged with protecting investors and the integrity of the markets?

Next Bridge Hydrocarbons is pleased to announce the much anticipated “Going Rogue with Lara Logan” podcast with Chairman and CEO Greg McCabe will be available in its entirety to stream today, Friday September 25, 2026, at 12:00 pm noon (CT) on https://t.co/w09nB67ZFt
Last night’s Space with @nbhydrocarbons CEO Greg McCabe, @annvandersteel, and @laralogan was the preview.
Friday is the full #MMTLP interview with Lara and Greg, and everyone should tune in, even if you never owned the stock (trolls are welcome too).
Because the legal filings are the part that do not need a microphone.
If even a small part of what is alleged in the #MMAT Trustee’s complaint against Citadel, Anson and Virtu (who fought tooth and nail to NOT deliver their trading data/record) and what the litigation and discovery process may now surface, holds up, then this story becomes much bigger.
And I doubt those three are the only act on the bill.
In fact, around the 47-minute mark, Lara says it directly: this is impacting an “extraordinary number” of U.S.-listed companies.
She is absolutely right to raise that point.
Because if that is true, then this is not just one shareholder grievance or one unusual market event.
That is a Pandora’s box the financial market system now has to confront.
And when you eventually add crypto, tokenization, and 24/7 markets into that mix... the scale of the problem becomes exponential.
At some point, the machinery around all of this needs a proper reckoning... not another wrist-slap dressed up as “industry self-regulation”, right?
The longer @FINRA’s “financial industry” appears to protect its paying members… ehhh, sorry... nearly said customers!🤣… while retail investors and issuers are left completely in the dark, the harder that model becomes to defend.
And no FINRA FAQ or stonewall can ever truly hide, reconcile, or settle the record after the fact.
If self-regulation means the club looks after the club while everyone outside it absorbs the consequences, that is not regulation. It is a membership organization with a badge.
Now here is the part people should appreciate.
It has taken more than four years to catalogue and map this market plumbing:
-10s of thousands of hours of research by hundreds of members of the MMTLP community.
-Record setting 1,000+ FOIA requests.
-Pro-bono lawyers.
-Media.
-Shareholders.
-Ethical staffers in DC.
And now AI tools...
All working, in one form or another, toward resolution for more than 65,000 families.
And in doing so, I am convinced it can also help educate Congress; so that future generations, entrepreneurs, investors, teachers, veterans, and the middle class more broadly, are better protected.
Listening to yesterday’s Space, I kept thinking... HOW do you explain the #MMTLP fiasco to someone who doesn’t know a CUSIP from a boarding pass?
How do you explain it to someone with no financial background?
-At a family dinner.
-At the bar with friends.
-Over coffee with colleagues.
-Or to a complete stranger.
No technical jargon. No alphabet soup. No market-structure lecture... I’ve admittedly inflicted enough of those on people already! 😎
Just a picture everyone can understand.
So I started placing all the actors we have come across over the last four or five years into one setting. Yes... including the trolls! (You know who you are🧌)
Let’s place all of them in one place:
an airport...
Welcome to MIA:
MARKET INTEGRITY AIRPORT
Where market integrity occasionally goes missing in action.
...your departure board reads:
FLIGHT: MMTLP

STATUS: HALTED
LUGGAGE: UNRECONCILED
Next post: the airport.
After nearly four years, Next Bridge Hydrocarbons Chairman and CEO Mr. Greg McCabe is breaking his silence and speaking publicly about MMTLP and Next Bridge Hydrocarbons.
I am really happy to see that my post is sparking conversation and is making people think and question.
Introducing... ESMA SSR Article 16: https://t.co/kIkGNPwF6s
ESMA Short Selling Regulation (SSR) is Regulation (EU) No 236/2012.
It is EU law on short selling and certain credit default swaps. ESMA writes the technical standards and keeps the public lists. National regulators (BaFin, AMF, etc.) enforce it.
It has three jobs:
1. see large shorts,
2. ban uncovered shorts in scope shares, and
3. let authorities intervene in a crisis.
What it covers
It applies to:
- Shares admitted to trading on an EU/EEA regulated market or MTF
- EU sovereign debt and related sovereign CDS
- Location of the trader does not matter.
- A US or Cayman fund is in scope if the instrument is in scope.
Two extra gates for shares:
The share must be traded on an EU venue (TOTV).
The PRINCIPAL trading venue must be in the European Union, NOT a third country...
and so...
If the MAIN market is the US (or another third country), Article 16 EXEMPTS that share from:
- net-short notification (Art. 5)
- public disclosure (Art. 6)
- the uncovered short-sale ban (Art. 12)
- SSR buy-in rules (Art. 15)
ESMA’s example:
a US company also listed in Germany, but whose principal venue is the US, is exempt. That is why dual-listed US names and OTC-style paper often NEVER appear in EU short files.
ESMA publishes the exempted shares list (principal venue outside the EU).
this is just the tip of the iceberg...
Document 2931.
On August 7, the Chapter 7 Trustee for Meta Materials filed a 62-page adversary complaint against Citadel Securities, Virtu Americas, and the Anson funds. I have now read it three times, along with both exhibits.
It is a huge contribution to the record and it includes five unprecedented items. It is not a cheque.
Here is my honest assessment and thoughts, what is actually new and who should care, not legal advice.
To get my message across to the market “experts” who will be quick to respond to this thread… I will be REPEATING some complex findings/arguments in multiple ways and tone (with potentially some cynical commentary)… this will NOT be brief, I am not your friend or your employer… you will need to read it all and do your research to address me, or quit and consider your life choices such as for selling your souls to those who use you as mouthpieces to spread your cancer in public (posts and spaces) while using fake or anonymous accounts that your purge every time you get told to rinse and repeat.
Case: Christina W. Lovato, as Chapter 7 Trustee of the Bankruptcy Estate of Meta Materials Inc.; and Doug Collins, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated v. Citadel Securities LLC, Virtu Americas LLC, Anson Funds Management LP, and Anson Advisors, Inc.
Forum: United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Nevada, adversary proceeding in In re Meta Materials Inc., Case No. 24-50792-gs (Chapter 7)
Filed: August 7, 2026 — Doc. 2931, entered 10:40:58
Class period: June 28, 2021 through August 20, 2024

At the highest level:
a Chapter 7 trustee, a fiduciary with subpoena power under Rule 2004, with a statutory duty to investigate claims against former officers and directors, and EVERY economic incentive to find them, has told a federal court under Rule 11 that Meta Materials was a real company destroyed by third-party manipulation.
Paragraph ¶30 recites the $160 million and debt-free balance sheet without qualification. Paragraph ¶57 pleads “a steady stream of positive news.” paragraph 57 and the following paragraphs, treat Nanotech, the central bank contract, and the strategic acquisitions as genuine value. Nothing in the pleading alleges issuer misconduct.
The Trustee had two years and full access to the books, and she sued Citadel, Virtu and Anson. That is a materially different narrative what we have seen to date.
When looking to understand what has been filed this week by the MMAT Trustee I thought it would be a good idea to look at some Background context. ALL 3 named defendants in the complaint, Citadel , Anson Funds and Virtu, have had some interesting dealings with the SEC, ON THE RECORD and all ONLY in the last 3 years.
Here are some quick highlights and sources:
1. Citadel Securities: the @SECGov issued an administrative order on September 22, 2023. The Commission found that Citadel Securities "willfully violated Rule 200(g) of Regulation SHO," censured the firm, imposed a cease-and-desist order, and levied a $7 million penalty.
- Over FIVE YEARS an estimated MILLIONS of sell orders were mismarked, and the inaccurate data was provided to regulators including the SEC (source: SEC Order 34-98482 https://t.co/VTxpk1JBPZ and press release https://t.co/wQ3s3w8o30 ).
2. Virtu Americas: final consent judgment entered in S.D.N.Y. on December 2, 2025. Virtu Americas is now PERMANENTLY enjoined from violating Section 15(g) of the Exchange Act and paid a $2.5 million penalty, without admitting or denying (source: Reuters https://t.co/vjSTX6mflB; and Virtu's own 10-Q disclosure https://t.co/48j8kT1bS9).
- Worth knowing the procedural history: the SEC's fraud claims under Securities Act §§ 17(a)(2) and (3) SURVIVED a motion to dismiss, then Judge Koeltl denied the motion in its entirety from the bench in August 2024, and the SEC then voluntarily dropped them in settlement (source: https://t.co/24NTxlHdMg) .
3. Anson Funds Management and Anson Advisors: SEC order, June 11, 2024. The Commission found Anson Advisors WILFULLY violated Advisers Act § 206(4) and Rule 206(4)-8, and Anson Funds willfully violated §§ 204 and 206(4) and Rules 204-2(a), 206(4)-7 and 206(4)-8. Censure, cease-and-desist, $2.25 million combined.
- The conduct: coordinating with activist short publishers on the timing of bearish reports, trading around publication, and routing $1.1 million in profit-sharing to a publisher through a third-party intermediary via invoices for research services that were never performed (sources: SEC Order IA-6622 https://t.co/5FkhmWH5DQ ; SEC summary https://t.co/6nO32VJzox).
I think these offer valuable context when reading through the MMAT complaint.
