Today's interest rate cut is the sixth since the election, the fastest pace of cuts in 17 years and good news for families with mortgages and businesses with loans.
There's more to do on the cost of living, that's why we're cutting £150 off energy bills and freezing rail fares.
Earlier this month the APPG on Baby Loss held our end of year meeting, reflecting on the past year and looking at the political opportunities and challenges of the year ahead.
A huge thank you to all our speakers and attendees for sharing your work and experience with us.
The chairs of the APPG on Baby Loss and the APPG on Maternity welcome the news that the National Bereavement Care Pathway has been included in NHS plans to improve maternity and neonatal services in England - @AndyMacNaeMP@MichelleWelshMP
Medical misogyny has cast a long shadow over maternity care.
Too many women dismissed, their pain minimised.
We're building an NHS that listens to women - getting to the root of problems, investing in services and renewing our Women's Health Strategy.

Pleased to have attended the launch of Time to Act: Stopping Group B Strep Infections in Newborn Babies event, hosted by @AndyMacNaeMP & Baroness Ritchie.
GBS infections remain a serious concern for newborns & their families. We must strengthen prevention, reporting & screening.
Our Policy and Public Affairs Officer, Honey Alma, and London Team Manager, Ronnie Stockton, recently met with @AndyMacNaeMP to discuss the intersections between our work and maternity services, particularly the APPG on Baby Loss and Maternity and the upcoming maternity investigation.
We’re calling for this investigation to acknowledge and address the gaps in care that allow domestic abuse to slip through the cracks, causing harm to both parents and babies.
Maternity staff play a vital role in identifying and supporting parents experiencing abuse. We’d like to see better training, resources, and services to help them respond safely and effectively.
A huge thank you to Andy MacNae for taking the time to meet with us and for his commitment to improving outcomes for parents and babies.

🧵 Attending the APPG on Baby Loss and Maternity event today. @AndyMacNaeMP opens by reflecting on the recent baby loss debate recognising bereavement care as "a crucial part of the equation" & yet with funding pressures "one of the things we see squeezed is bereavement support".
It was standing room only yesterday at the All-Party Parliamentary Groups on #BabyLoss and Maternity event on bereavement care.
Panellists set out why good bereavement care is so important for families affected by baby loss and for the maternity and neonatal system.

Help us make a difference this Baby Loss Awareness Week💖💙
Will you ask your MP to attend the debate and wear a baby loss awareness ribbon badge to Prime Minister’s Questions? ⬇️

I look forward to seeing you at the debate on Monday, Wes. It's a sign of how seriously this government is taking the issue of Baby Loss that the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care is helping to raise awareness and will be participating in Monday's debate.
Today marks the start of Baby Loss Awareness Week, a painful time for too many.
This short film contains the most important voices of all - many of whom I’ve met personally.
I’ve heard their call and will be attending Monday’s debate as Health Secretary.
Today is the start of Baby Loss Awareness Week, which runs from 9-15 October.
This week is a time to remember much-missed babies, reach out to anyone who's been through baby loss and raise awareness for those who don't know how many people it impacts: https://t.co/TAHv2ax2tW
Earlier today, Andy MacNae MP popped down to his local Darwen Leisure Centre to have a chat with the staff and see the facilities on offer to his constituents for free this National Fitness Day!

If you watched the recent debate on support for terror survivors, you may have heard @AndyMacNaeMP reference the Survivors' Charter and its eight key principles.
Created by @Survivors_a_t the Charter outlines what effective, compassionate support for survivors should look like.
Brilliant article by my colleague @AndyMacNaeMP.
“This back-and-forth between forecasts and policy reactions creates volatility, rather than stability.”
