It's not possible to robustly differentiate electrons for a kettle from electrons for an EV. Yes, they could mandate "smart" chargers, but what about legacy chargers and Mode 2 granny cables?

@LobAllan Also worth considering the 2.0litre petrol in 300 Sport, post-facelift P300. It’s the same engine we put in the 2.0litre F-TYPE.
It doesn’t have the same sound but was super fun to drive and of course gives you AWD which was never available in RHD V6.
