@Lisa9Sophia The reason for a very high informal vote is that ON volunteers instructed voters to just mark a 1 next to the ON candidate, but leave the rest blank, giving no preferences. All candidates must be given a number, if not the vote doesn't count, it is wasted.

Makes all parl terms the same, and set all election dates in stone. (Vic always is as close to Nov 24 as calendar allows)

Vic also got rid of 8 year upper house terms, but NSW has them! QLD has no upper house, meaning there's no house of review. Needs an upper house.
I believe all states need complete 4 year terms and so should the federal system. 4yrs, both houses, state and federal.
