@andyburnham Yep. Good move. Dodgy tradesmen are annoying. Do they have to opt in to this scheme? And any chance you can look at the defence spending target?
@secretsqrl123 Not disputing any of this, but please could you point at the source for this report? I'm in the UK and not familiar with things like this but it would help to set my mind at rest as sometimes the impression is out there that Russia and China represent an unstoppable force.
@LaindonAndy@DevonianGunner@afneil Whether salary sacrifice disappears is yet to be known. The NI changes announced mean there's little saving for employers but there's still a significant tax saving and easy to administer for employees. So I think some employers will continue offering it.
@DevonianGunner@afneil Can't speak for Andrew, but some employers offer electric car leasing salary sacrifice schemes which can be incredibly tax efficient. I have always purchased cars outright when possible (mostly second hand). Next time I will be looking at the salary sacrifice lease option.
@tickerscricket Looking forward to all the talking heads who said the awful "one big group" format was definitely the best now pivoting to extol the virtues of the Super 7 format
@anon_opin When we went to WFH through COVID, our contracts didn't change. If they want us back in 5 days a week then our choice is to do it or to quit. Due to the excellent state of the economy right now, at my place only the brave/stupid would quit. Contractual terms matter.
