@Stoneraise_SCH Just a heads-up for people in Carlisle, the walk-in site at the Carlisle Castle Car Park is not always coming up on the availability often suggesting to Dumfries as the closest test site, but you can just turn up without booking in and get tested.
Clem Coady is the head teacher at Stoneraise School. He has been nominated for going #AboveAndBeyond to support his local school communities through the extraordinary challenges of the past few months.
Just come off a call with local headteachers. They and their staff are working day & night to safely reopen schools if possible, while providing one-to-one telephone & virtual support for pupils.
Ignore the headlines - our teachers are heroes already. We should stand by them.

@sarahkatenorman I've noticed that too! Sadly today this is not the case, now that Hammond's Pond car park is now open again as of today the fields are littered with rubbish! 😩
Cabinet are RAGING. On paper they’re meant to meet later to discuss 50 page doc and virus fight. But PM has already recorded his message, sent doc to the printers and seemingly made all the decisions with the so called quad... what’s the point of even dialling in, some asking.
Whilst tonight’s announcement lacked many details, we will work & support families of YR, Y1 & Y6 who do not think it is safe to return.
We will not fine/sanction any family who refuses to attend.
We want school open, but only when it is safe for everyone.
