@TRobinsonNewEra UK Police are unarmed. They are brave as they join knowing they will go to dangerous situations without guns. Their model
Is bad. NZ models itself on the UK. Our Police have longs and shorts locked in every car readily available. They are trained. Sensible
@LeahRain77 Where I’m from. Any serious crash where people are injured or worse, blood is taken from the suspect driver at the officers request, providing taking the blood doesn’t endanger the drivers life. No search warrant required, just the right circumstances. Makes More sense.
@Azariel91 It’s incumbent that Police investigate offences and do door knocks as part of that. But to turn up with an allegation and no evidence of the kids involvement. To be fair the kid sounds like he has some form but he is still has the presumption of innocence. Dad did well.
@RCR_NZ@stew_rachel Ok lucky for me I’ve never been depressed to a degree that I needed meds. I don’t disagree with this but why is it that seratonin based meds seem to work for depression, or so I’ve heard from them that have take(n) them?
@WHLeavitt I’m not sure how things operate over there, or if they think the uniform makes them bulllet proof. When dealing with disorder and large numbers never get out of your vehicle until you have numbers. If you don’t have that stay in your vehicle and record/watch.
@LDTreloar@TRobinsonNewEra@WMPolice I did 30 years. Just not in the UK. I know exactly what it’s like.
Likely it was a minor offence so they started accordingly. However they failed to recognise the need to go harder when things escalated. Particularly when he picked up the baton.
@BrianTamakiNZ You still own them. They will hold them until you can nominate some with with a firearms license and the proper security, they will (should) be able to up lift them and store them for you.
@RiseAboveWithK Could have pressed charges? In my country he committed and would have been charged with burglary. Not sure how what he did wasn’t criminal?
