@SnazzyQ Because in western societies we are indoctrinated to believe that billionaires are the success stories of capitalism, which we are indoctrinated to believe is somehow less corrupt than any other economic system, despite glaring similarities between them.
@itsRanadipRony@louiseblandry My dude… investing in a business is materially different than running it. And whilst @elonmusk is busy spending all of his days with the bird, us #Tesla investors are getting more fed up with lackluster performance, and a celebrity CEO tweeting from Mars.
Twitter’s current popularity is an abstract of media discussion. @elonmusk must learn that it is a materially different business from selling cars or launching space ships. Threatening your largest source of income with retribution is not likely to make a successful ad network.
@elonmusk Well, you’re off to a terrible start at it. I genuinely hope for the best, but given your track record for seeing discontent and animosity (and acting like a spoiled child) I think that’s an uphill climb.
@bioreconstruct This is honestly the greatest mistake Chapek has made to date. The cost to get a half-completed pavilion up and running is incredibly low. It would eat a lot of capacity at a low operating cost — right up his alley.
@crazyparkguy@SirBrayden There was a concept at one point to expand on the technologies of Rivers of Light at Epcot. The early challenges with RoL, and the continued strains of the system proved too great for that idea to ever leave blue sky.
@SirBrayden (5/5) the audience around in this order, Steve Davison forgot the importance of emotional narrative as he discovered in WoC or HEA. Emotional relevance and order means more and tells a story better than geographic unfamiliarity. This is Harmonious’s (and Ench.) ultimate failing.
@SirBrayden (4/?) Disney music becomes completely lost. You open with a love ballad (Beauty and the Beast), quickly transition into a villains theme (Notre Dame), shove the audience into an I Want song (Notre Dame), and then kick the audience straight into an I Am song (Brave). By jerking
@rllytho@WinterEracer@neiltyson Sure, let’s talk about them. Why don’t we raise taxes to a.) improve schools; b.) provide better care for “kids in the system;” c.) guarantee positive childhood nutrition and housing through federal social programs;
If you’re not willing to pay for long-term outcomes, don’t talk
@ngt104@thecrazycodr@jlessl@neiltyson This argument is pretty uneducated and excludes a.) a wide variety of abuse victims; b.) that most medically necessary abortions aren’t discoverable until, ya know, after conception; c.) and the misdiagnosis of conception preventing illnesses.
@elonmusk@elonmusk This could alter the fundamental aspect of twitter — and the one thing that has kept the platform stable whilst others waste investment in failed experiements (instagram). Short-form quick-news is why I use this platform.
@Lin_Manuel What do you feel happened to Alvie after he left House and arrived in Arizona with his cousin? Do you ever imagine what your fictional characters did after their on-stage/screen narratives are complete?
@djfantasia1@BirketEng@FireLinxPyro I have watched @FireLinxPyro for many years, but never had the opportunity to work on a project with it directly. I’m very much a fan of the hw engineering, though have no experience with the sw. If the team is ever free, I’d love to learn more.
