GAUTENG A Group of congregants attending an all night prayer session in an open space were attacked, and two killed and others robbed their cellphones by a group of 10 heavily armed men.

The incident happened in Ivory Park in the early hours of today (Friday) , as the predominantly Zimbabwean member church congregation were at an all night prayer. Two of the victims were killed, one was shot while the other was stabbed. An unknown number of cellphones and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the congregants.

The station commander of the Ivory Park SAPS, Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo, has expressed shock at this, and has cautioned other congregants about the dangers of conducting prayer sessions in open spaces such as this."Our first appeal is for anyone with information about this tragedy to please assist. These suspects are somewhere in our communities," said Brigadier Ngcobo.
