i think the real story here is that the establishment electability concerns - endorsements and earned media (thanksgiving-gate) still have plenty sway especially if a candidate isn't capable of turning the negative msm coverage into a platform for policy through comms maneuvering. national progs like bernie or aoc can assuage the base concerns but will lose their influence to do so if they deploy it on "anyone."

we have to continue proving our viability to the base every day in an unbelievably hostile political environment where party elites, donors, consultants & media execs actively work to defend their corporate sponsorships. we have to be bold but disciplined.
