Dear @LDAMAX1 I am heartfelt sorry that I accused you of having 7 bottles of Kefir milk in the refrigerator. You were right; there was only 4 bottles. Please forgive me for over exaggerating.
Brake downs are never on my schedule except on weekends, after hours or when you least expect it, With all the wind we have been having my RTK tower antenna decided to fall off. Found the needed parts, a make shift lift and help from my first born, repairs have been made.
Today is #WorldCottonDay.
It’s a global celebration of cotton and its stakeholders from field to fabric and beyond!
One bale of cotton, which weighs about 480 pounds, can make:
- 215 jeans
- 249 bed sheets
- 690 bath towels
- 1,256 pillowcases
- 1,217 T-shirts
A big thanks to our Texas farmers but @TexasFarmBureau forgot one very important farmer… COTTON. Because no one wants to go to a nude family feast 🤣. Thanks @LDAMAX1 & everyone I’ve had the honor to represent. #txlege
We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to our retiring Operation Round Up directors! Brenda Karr, Angela Arthur, Patricia Reynolds and Kyle Benson (not pictured). These volunteers spend countless hours going through applications! Thank you for your service to the Cooperative!
Always see many different animal species while out in the fields. Been several years since I’ve seen one of these guys. Maybe they will make a comeback.
Over the years my kids have made thanksgiving a competition on deer hunting. Each year they try to out do the other on the biggest deer harvested. The girls have done well over the years, but it’s going to be hard to top this one this year. ten point
Today has been a long one. Finally received the parts to repair the leaky cylinders on the backhoe. Fixed five of the cylinders, and replaced one king pin and bearings on the front. I hope my cheater pipe was long enough to get the bolts tight on the cylinder shafts.
Hosted the TAWC field walk this morning. Had good crowd, wonderful discussion, good presentations on the subject of irrigation. Making the best financial decisions on irrigation in a drought is still challenging. @forefrontagTX@TAWC_TTU
Beautiful day with my daily therapy session. Yes, even the donkey needs attention. #farmlife#horses#downunderhorsemanship @daisy_farm_security https://t.co/ZJ9eclSNsk
Well this little guy is the first volunteer stock of cotton I've seen this year. On the turn row where I had watered cover crop up. Soon it will be time to get the planters rolling, BUT, just seen that this April will be the driest on record. Drought keeps intensifying.
Few more pictures of today's Red Raider event. My daughter and her class mates are training for the future of animal agriculture. Governor, elected officials, school administrators, agricultural organizations and many others in attendance. @TTUVetMed
