It was a momentous time celebrating @ausoftheyear 2025 with my daughters (one watching proudly from the USA!), my rock of a husband, and my wise brilliant mum. As I welcome our inspiring new awardees, I reflect on an incredible 2024: pioneering melanoma research that transformed clinical practice, leading groundbreaking discoveries with brilliant women scientists & clinicians, and exploring our vast nation's changemakers.
Through the highs of #research success and raising awareness for #SunSafety (preventing melanoma - Australia's cancer), came profound loss - farewell to my beloved father Geoff Long, whose wisdom & cut-through I miss daily. Grateful for my 5 siblings, mum, and family who carry his legacy forward. Thank you Australia for a truly unforgettable year. @Sydney_Uni@MelanomaAus@Science_Academy@abcnews@ABCTV@gg_sammostyn@AlboMP@PatrickGormanMP@ProfRAScolyer@FightMND@KatrinaWruck
