Married mum of four, Gran to 3. Ex Community Nurse. House full. Noisy chaos. Friends always welcome. Never a Tory. Remainer. community kitchen volunteer.
@MickBooker GB News is not a news channel, though. It’s a hard right propaganda media outlet used almost exclusively to further the political aspirations of Nigel Farage. Your nasty little outfit has done much to poison the well of political discourse in the U.K. Nothing to be proud of.
I think I have to stop fighting for things to be right in the NHS.
The govt and NHSE want it to be staffed by people who aren’t qualified enough to see patients.
They want to send patients away from UTCs without seeing a human.
They want digital remote access over human access.
I am so tired of fighting this - time to just stop.
You voted against scrapping zero hour contracts.
You voted against banning fire and rehire.
You voted against day one sick pay for workers.
You said the minimum wage was too high for young people.
Reform politicians openly say they don't like trade unions.
You will always put the interests of your offshore crypto billionaire donors ahead of workers.
90% of countries in the world can own their water but not us. People in England want their water back. But the government is protecting private water profiteers.
It’s time to give the public a say. @Feargal_Sharkey wants you stand up and be counted. Sign the petition: https://t.co/NdwoKq7k3o
Almost 180,000 World Cup tickets are still unsold on resale platforms just days before kickoff, amid a growing controversy for Fifa.
Fifa has been under scrutiny for its high ticket prices but its president, Gianni Infantino, says the tickets are priced at appropriate "market rates" for America .
Ian Wright is an absolute hero for saying how we all feel about this World Cup…
“I've just read that the Somalian referee has been denied entry. Every few hours it's another story, another story about fans denied, players denied, officials denied, journalists denied, now refs," Wright said.
"You know something I'm laughing but it's not funny, it's actually not funny and something has to be said.
"The expensive tickets, the most expensive tickets ever, expensive accommodation, transport through the roof. It has to be said.
"Is this how the hosts behave really for the greatest game, the greatest tournament in the world, is this how the hosts behave?
"Are we not hearing more? Are we seeing how Qatar got dragged, are we not hearing more? Is this the spirit of football, really?
"You know who I feel for? I feel for the American fans who are desperate for this, American soccer fans who are desperate for this, how embarrassed they must be. How embarrassing for them this must be.
"This is the World Cup, this is a World Cup of chaos. Whoever wins this World Cup is going to have to go through some serious chaos to get this done.
"I hope we can do it, but something has to be said now. This is the World Cup."

Wow @PHSOmbudsman 🤬
Is this the best you can do to describe the appalling mistreatment/harm of a 5yr old by a non-medically qualified HCP & the abject failure of the ‘supervising GP’ & pharmacist to pick it up👇🏼?
What’s the point of your existence?
@Jeremy_Hunt@LaylaMoran
Charlie Massey: “I’m sorry, with the benefit of hindsight” to the Parliamentary Select Committee, on PA/AA regulation.
Hindsight? Doctors and patient-groups spent years warning the GMC and campaigning relentlessly!
Incompetence or insolence? Or both?

A few people not quite getting the point saying "but you recommeded Quotum". Of course I didn't, I don't do adverts. This was a fake news story by scammers (ie organised crime) pretending to report me saying something on the TV!
I originally posted this in FB earlier this evening, but I think it is equally relevant in here given how toxic some people on here can be. I know I should just ignore all this shit, but when it's been dominating the news cycle for weeks, that's not exactly an easy thing to do.
On the bright side, yes, dad and I did enjoy our swim this morning.
Not been on here at all today, went swimming this morning and used up a very significant amount of energy, so I spent the afternoon recharging a bit. What do I see with my own eyes as the FIRST thing when I come on here? The Tories and Helen pissing Whately complaining about disabled people AGAIN! At what point does it become reportable as harassment on the basis of disability? They keep pushing this 'mild' and 'low level' line in regard to people with mental health conditions, but the truth is they are really after all of us. Speaking personally, I'm probably the type of person who they would say should continue to receive the support I get, because I have clearly visible physical disabilities. But, 2 things still apply, the first is that I will always fight for ALL disabled people and our rights, including those with the mental health conditions currently being demonised by the media and our politicians. Secondly, even though my disability is clearly visible, I still feel as though I'm being constantly attacked for something I didn't choose. Because after all, none of us chose this life, and none of us would we were given the option, but people with loud voices and access to the media continue to push these disgusting, harmful and completely false narratives. I've had enough!
Solidarity to anyone out there who is feeling anything like this, sending supportive virtual cuddles to you all.
I hope this is an error on the job advert.
PAs are dependent practitioners. They should not be seeing patients independently. They should not be first assist in surgery or performing LPs.
Patients deserve safe quality care. @IMO_IRL please look into this
FYI, the blue tick isn’t permanent it’s to gather data for a month for a video. I rarely use Twitter now. For good reason.
After merely 12 hrs of having a tick, I’d already wager that Reform is spending a lot of billionaire crypto money on violent bot activity.
I’ve already experienced a sharp uptick in my posts being promoted to ultra violent far right bot accounts and regular users (with zero social media literacy) who don’t realise they’re being manipulated into extremism.
The bot replies are violent, with far right and white supremacist overtones. A lot of cringe inducing “crusade” chat, master race bullshit and wishing rape on women is VERY common.
If replies are turned off on any of my posts it’s because either the disinfo (largely via meme) or said violent abuse is coming in too fast to manage.
Twitter is clearly just a radicalisation vehicle for the far right now and I doubt that my experiences this month will disprove that.
Another Health Secretary from Management Consulting Land.
He is imposing an expensive & unnecessary solution to a problem which doesn’t exist, while creating tomorrow’s problems today.
@AndrewHWestern No it really is Not.
Having more actual qualified Drs managing patient care and less private companies cherry picking. And less computer records to wade through. And less time waiting for awful news from scan results.
Do Better. Please!
