After Islamabad, they’re now flooding Lahore with these useless, shadeless palm trees.
No shade in brutal summer heat, not suited to the local climate, and most will likely be dead within a year.
This is Islamabad Expressway a few kilometres away from Zeropoint and see the vanished trees and green cover. Soon Islamabad and Multan will have similar temperatures. @CDAthecapital needs to make sure priviate housing societies adhere to green cover. @dranamfatima@membercda
@Amelia558rs When I was in high school back in the late 80's I was friends with a few. It just wasn't allowed to be talked about or addressed back then.
@Mr_Husky1 DO NOT SELL ANYTHING. These are your assets not his, and he has no right to them. The fact that he is forcing you to sell them should be a major red flag.
@meherbokhari Is this what austerity measures look like? How is there money to buy this fancy jet while constantly having to be bailed out by the IMF and other countries?
@shaheryarhassan I'm sure they thought they could get some bribe money from those citizens. And we are supposed to be able to depend on these people for our own safety?
What I find sad is that no one wants to talk about the damage that the UK did in countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc. To me, the message seems to be that it is okay for white people from the UK to migrate and destroy populations, countries, environments, and loot wealth, but if someone brown migrates looking for a better life than what is available in those destroyed countries, it is wrong.
I happened to read this article on the CNN website this morning.

It left me wondering about the future of KPK and Balochistan. Will these areas end up like the island of Nauru, where 80% of the island is uninhabitable after foreign powers and companies strip-mined it for phosphorus? What will happen to the people who call that region home? What will happen to the environment? How will all this mining affect the climate?
One thing I am fairly certain of is that it will not be the locals of these regions who benefit from the wealth generated from the mining projects.
@MaryamNSharif I admit that they are doing wrong and should be stopped, but what amazes me is that money can be spent to go after poor youth, but hardly anything is done to end bribery, kickbacks, and other forms of corruption.
@GovernmentKP@GovtofPakistan really need to take action on developers who take money for flats and then fail to deliver them. I purchased one from @SaifGroupPwr, which was supposed to be delivered last year, and still there is no prospect of being handed possession anytime soon.
