The Jamia Mosque Committee joins the nation in mourning the passing of Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, a veteran politician and an almost permanent feature in Kenya’s democratic process.
Raila Odinga was a steadfast champion of democracy, justice, and equality, whose lifelong dedication to public service left an enduring mark on Kenya’s political landscape. He was a champion of the marginalized and minority communities, consistently advocating for fairness, inclusion, and reforms that strengthened Kenya’s governance and unity. His courage, conviction, and vision helped shape the country’s democratic journey and inspired generations to believe in a better, more just Kenya.
As the Muslim community, we particularly remember RailaOdinga’s significant role in the struggle for the establishment and entrenchment of the Kadhis' Courts in Kenya’s Constitution, a reflection of his respect for Kenya’s religious diversity and commitment to protecting the rights of all citizens.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Odinga family, friends, and all Kenyans who share in this profound loss.
May the Almighty Allah grant his family comfort and strength during this difficult time, and may Raila Amolo Odinga’s legacy of courage, reform, and inclusivity continue to inspire our nation for generations to come.

I saw this Dua and I thought to share

Ya Allah, I try to trust Your plan, but sometimes, the waiting feels too long, the tests feel too heavy, and I begin to question if better days will ever come.
I carry silent worries, unspoken fears, and prayers that feel unanswered.
Ya Allah, in these moments, I need You the most.
Ya Rabb, I don't want to lose hope. I don't want to let my doubts take over or let my struggles make me forget Your mercy. I know You are always working in ways I cannot see.
I know You are writing a story for me that is far greater than what I could ever imagine. But my heart is weak, Ya Allah, and I need You to strengthen it.
Remind me that every delay is for a reason, every hardship is shaping me, and every unanswered prayer is Your protection.

When I feel like giving up, pull me closer to You. When my faith feels shaky, remind me of all the times You have carried me through before. Replace my fear with trust, my impatience with peace, and my doubts with unwavering faith in You.

Ya Allah, no matter what I face, let me always believe in the beauty of Your plan. Even when I don't understand it, even when it doesn't make sense, let my heart be certain that You are leading me toward something better. Keep me firm in faith, hopeful in Your mercy, and at peace with what You have written for me.
