listen up, stupids:
you told us Joe Biden was corrupt. ok, we said, show us your evidence.
you told us you had proof. cool, we said, show us your evidence.
there's a whistleblower, you screamed. great, we said, show us your evidence.
the whistleblower has tapes, you shouted. awesome, we said, show us your evidence.
then you told us your whistleblower was in hiding. fine, we said, show us your evidence.
then you told us you couldn't find your whistleblower.
super, we said, show us your evidence. then you told us the whistleblower was dead.
whatever, we said. just show us the fucking evidence.
then it turned our your whistleblower was a Chinese spy and a fugitive from justice. great whistleblower you got there, we said, now how about that evidence.
then you announced an impeachment hearing. why, we asked, did you finally find some evidence?
Professor Turley's going to tell you all about it, you replied. cool, we said, Professor Turley, do you HAVE any evidence?
no, said Professor Turley. well then, we asked, did you SEE any evidence?
no, said Professor Turley. well then, we asked, did you HEAR ABOUT any evidence?
no, said Professor Turley. and so your big stupid impeachment hearing blew the fuck up right in your dumb faces, and you all looked like silly dipshits.
even Fox News made fun of you.
now it's time for you to sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up until you can show. us. some. evidence
This is Corion Evans.
While he was driving in Mississippi, he saw a car swerve and crash into a river. Without hesitating, he ran out, jumped into the water, and rescued three girls inside.
He was 16 at the time.
The driver of the vehicle stated she was following her GPS and did not realize she was going into the water.
Corion Evans said he immediately ran over, took off his shoes and shirt and went into the water when he saw the car sinking and heard the three occupants shouting for help.
When Police Officer Gary Mercer responded to the scene, he attempted to bring one person to shore who began panicking and caused him to struggle under water.
Evans helped rescue him, too.
Officials presented Evans with a certificate of commendation for his heroism in rescuing the four people. They also recognized Mercer for his "bravery in the rescue."
“It's not often enough that you see people put others above themselves."
BREAKING: Florida Republicans suffer a historic humiliation as a new report exposes their education policy which teaches that slaves benefitted from their bondage — it turns out that HALF of the example individuals used were never even slaves in the first place.
Buckle up, because this one is a doozy...
Thanks to Republicans, Florida's 2023 Social Studies curriculum for sixth to eighth grade falsely teaches that "slaves developed skills" that could be used for "personal benefit." Apparently, conservatives think that being forced to do brutal agricultural work and other tasks was really just a form of resume building.
But when asked to provide specific examples of individuals who benefitted from their time as slaves, Florida's revisionist account of history completely fell apart.
The state listed sixteen names when asked to provide proof that slavery benefitted Black people.
One example they gave was Lewis Latimer. A museum dedicated to him states that he was in fact born to free, self-liberated parents in 1848. He later went on to become an inventor and helped develop the telephone — but none of the skills he used came from being a slave since he never was a slave.
Several of the other examples were likewise born free. Clearly, Florida Republicans cannot provide real examples of slaves benefitting from enslavement because no such examples exist.
This offensively false idea is just the latest conservative effort to downplay the brutality and evil of slavery — and in doing so push the idea that Black people should simply "move on" since it wasn't that bad.
It's as ahistorical as it is racist.

You know how the Republicans keep saying if they can do this to so and so they can do it to you.
Hunter is a private citizen and set to appear in court today to have his plea deal approved by a judge. @RepJasonSmith Chair of the Ways and Means Committee has sent over 400 pages of allegations to the judge to try to influence her into tanking the deal.
Now these are crimes the Congress is alleging. There has been no formal investigation, no charges have been filed, and no verification of claims. No discovery, no evidentiary hearing.
This is Congress interring with a case and trying to influence a judge in a matter of a private citizen.
This time they are right. If they can do it to him they can do it to you.
Shameless: Rep. Lauren Boebert is being called out for the weak sauce excuses she is offering for why she callously threw in the trash the memorial pin of 10-year-old Uvalde shooting victim Maite Rodriguez.
The memorial pin is a pair of green Converse sneakers — the only way her family was able to identify her after the assault weapon that was used on her made her unrecognizable.
In a clip that has gone viral, gun violence activist Elijah Pelton explains to Boebert who the memorial pin was for, but she remained coldly unreceptive.
"We told her who Maite was. We told her that the green Converse were one of the only ways her family could recognize her," Pelton explained. "She did not say anything to us but did shake her head ‘no’ after I told her that we hope she takes action on gun violence prevention."
And then she threw the memorial pin in the garbage.
Boebert offered a different explanation for what transpired, trying to blame her callous, disrespectful act on her air pods. The Colorado Congresswoman released a video saying that she didn't hear what the activist said because she had air pods on, and that she thought it was an activist who had previously confronted her aggressively.
The truth is, the memorial pin for Maite conflicts with Boebert's need to push for more gun ownership, especially for AR-15 style weapons as she is one of four House Republicans who want to make the AR-15 the first official gun of the United States.
Do you agree that Lauren Boebert, and other members of Congress who refuse to budge on common sense gun control, should be forced to face the parents of children murdered by gun violence?
BREAKING: President Biden has announced that on Tuesday he will sign a proclamation to establish a national monument honoring Emmett Till and his mother Mamie Till-Mobley.
Details:
- The National Monument will span across 3 locations in Illinois and Mississippi, and according to The Independent will "protect places that are central to the story of Till's life and death at age 14, the acquittal of his white killers and his mother's activism, which helped spark the civil rights movement."
- Emmett Till was lynched as a teen in Mississippi in 1955 after being accused of whistling at a white woman.
- Tuesday is the anniversary of Till's birth in 1941.
This is an action that all Americans should be able to get behind.
Thank you Joe Biden.
