No nation, no society, and no international order can call itself just and humane if it measures its success solely by power or prosperity while neglecting those who live at the margins. Indeed, Christ’s love for the least and the forgotten compels us to reject every form of selfishness that leaves the poor and the vulnerable invisible.
That feeling when your girlfriend from high school finally gets engaged.
I used to tell myself: Andrew, it’ll be ok. She wasn’t right for you.
I just hope her husband isn’t some handsome buff football player.
@brianglenntv “A suit doesn't make a man.” A person's character and inner qualities are more important than their outward appearance, so simply wearing a suit does not automatically make someone a good or respectable person; it's what's inside that counts.
Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit. Thank you @POTUS, Congress, and the American people.
Ukraine needs just and lasting peace, and we are working exactly for that.
@GovernorHobbs Thank you and please do whatever you can to protect our most vulnerable as we need to take care of those that cannot take care of themselves. #arizona#ddd#ahcccs#medicaid
Unfortunately, Republican Leadership denied my ability to vote remotely after giving birth to my son, Sam, but that’s not stopping us from showing up to vote NO on this disastrous budget proposal.
They want to rip away health care from 400,000 CO kids, take food off the plates of seniors & veterans, and make life more expensive for hardworking Coloradans – all so they can give tax breaks to corporations and billionaires like Elon Musk.
.@RepDavid@rubengallego@SenMarkKelly Medicaid is a lifeline! People with disabilities rely on Medicaid for health care and services to support them in their daily lives. Any cuts to Medicaid hurt those who rely on it. #ProtectMedicaid and save lives!
A fact check is very much needed here:
1. This is a serious situation for the families involved.
2. It is a direct result of the Executive not following the rules of securing state funds to pay for the approved federal waiver — improperly and potentially illegally using state dollars.
3. Good policy requires proper budgeting. By failing to manage her budget properly and be transparent with families, taxpayers and the Legislature regarding this impending and growing crisis, Governor Hobbs has thrown our most vulnerable into a state of chaos.
4. A supplemental should be provided but accountability measures will be included to prevent the Executive Branch from doing this again — it’s now a pattern.
Take a look at the non-partisan Joint Legislative Budget Committee report on this avoidable disaster.
Thank you for sharing this and amplifying the message out about how badly the Executive branch is managing our taxpayer dollars.
For the record, I voted YES on the supplemental. Our most vulnerable citizens should not have to suffer because of bureaucratic incompetence.
@MatthewGress Thank you for voting “Yes” for our special needs children. They shouldn’t be caught in the crossfire of the mismanagement of funds.
I am inviting you out to @miracleleagueaz to watch a baseball game. ❤️⚾️💙
