Sam Raimi on what differentiates fans of 'Evil D*@d' from the fans of superhero movies:

"I find that the fans of 'Evil D*@d' -- however few and weird they may be -- they like something different and original, more than anything else. You've got to give them something that you think is original. They're a new kind of fan. They're not the usual fan. They appreciate that that is different -- and most fans don't. Most fans want to see, I think, comfortably what they're prepared for. They want Superman 2 to be kind of the same as Superman 1, or Spider-Man 2 be the same as Spider-Man 1. In 2023, after more than a decade of davening at a Reform temple, I told HaShem that I was finally ready to be a wife—to surrender, to commit—to become the kind of wife someone I respected would want to marry.

Within a week, I was introduced to Shomer Negiah. I'd never even heard of it before. It confirmed a feeling I'd carried for years—that there were "rules" to life I was somehow missing. I began keeping Shomer Negiah.

On Pesach 5784, I was invited to a Chabad house. I haven't left. Baruch HaShem.

As a giyoret hoping to marry her zivug, my past—the fact that I once made so much of it public—can become part of other people's judgments. It hasn't been easy, but Baruch HaShem, I have emunah and know that Ein Od Milvado.

Today, I received a note from someone in Israel whom I deeply admire. He thanked me for publishing my 2019 essay, Forgiveness, about my time in Hollywood and shared that it is helping his family heal.

הוֹדוּ לַיהֹוָה כִּי טוֹב כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ

I sometimes forget that although sharing some of my stories publicly has come with challenges, it was never really about me. HaShem will do as HaShem desires. I'm only here for teshuvah and mitzvot.
