What Should President Trump Do With Cuba?

Before we start, look at the map. Cuba is less than 100 miles from Florida. It’s not some distant country you can’t find on a map, it’s literally in our backyard.

I have always wondered why we haven’t removed the Castro regime in the past.

I believe President Trump’s approach is correct by cutting off deliveries. As it stands, Cuba reportedly has only 15–20 days of oil left.

The Trump administration sees Cuba’s economy as extremely fragile and close to collapse.

You do realize Cuba is officially a communist state, governed by a single-party system where the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) is the only legal political party, right?

People in Cuba have very limited freedom.

It is also rather unsafe for Americans to travel there.

If the Cuban communist regime were removed, Cuba could finally become a real democracy.

In other words, Cuba could become the next Miami in the near future.

That would greatly benefit the United States.

Tourism could return to 1920s–1940s levels.

Did you know Cuba once had a Triple-A Minor League Baseball team, the Havana Sugar Kings?

In the future, Cuba could become like Puerto Rico, a U.S. territory, or even a state in the future.

If that happens, what will the rest of the world do? More finger-wagging from the UK? China issuing a “stern warning”? Putin pounding the table?

Cuba’s number-one ally, Venezuela, has already been cut off with Maduro removed.

People will bring up the Bay of Pigs, but this isn’t the Cold War anymore. Look at what our military did to Venezuela. The military is far more advanced than it was in the 1960s. Which brings me back to my main point: I am still surprised the CIA never removed the Castro regime in the past.

There’s a reason the media rarely talks about Cuba, because many liberals approve of communism.

So we’ll see what happens. But I approve of what President Trump is doing, and I hope the future is bright for Cuba.
