The ongoing crisis in Manipur has revealed a disturbing trend, certain immigrant communities, emboldened by the visible protection and indirect patronage of Indian govt and their armed forces, have begun to believe they can occupy the hill areas of Manipur without the consent or participation of the Indigenous Peoples. Leaders from these communities irresponsibly peddle false promises to innocent refugees and illegal immigrants, assuring them that by joining this illegal campaign, they can secure permanent settlements in the sacred and ancestral lands of the Indigenous Meetei and Naga peoples.

Let it be made unequivocally clear: these dreams of carving out a separate homeland, whether under the name of a Kuki state or any other political fiction, within the historic and settled territories of Manipur are fundamentally illegitimate and historically untenable. The lands in question have been continuously inhabited, cultivated, and protected by the Indigenous peoples for thousands of years. No amount of force-backed adventurism or political manipulation can overwrite this deeply rooted reality.

The illusion of power and impunity currently enjoyed by these groups is entirely dependent on external military support. But history teaches us that such imposed arrangements are inherently fragile. Once this artificial shield is withdrawn, as it inevitably will be, the consequences will be swift and irreversible. Those who have trespassed upon the dignity, culture, and territorial rights of Indigenous communities must understand that unlawful occupation may bring temporary gain, but it guarantees long-term instability, accountability, and ultimately, collapse.

This is a final warning to those who are knowingly or unknowingly being used as pawns in a larger game of demographic engineering and territorial aggression, withdraw from this illegal path before it is too late. Respect the sanctity of Indigenous lands and seek peaceful coexistence, not conquest.

On 09.01.2025, Manipur Police and 38 AR arrested 01 (one) active cadre of Hmar People's Convention (Democratic), namely Lalchuoilo (48) of Lungthuilien village, Pherzawl District from Barak River bank near Tuisolen village under Borobekra PS, Jiribam District.
