In my final piece as @CapX Deputy Editor, I reflect on the last two and a half years of profligacy.
There's much to be done, and I'll be continuing the fight at @Prosperity_Inst as Senior Press Officer.
From Tuesday, I'll also be writing a fortnightly column in @CityAM👇
This is an incredible development in the saga of the @reformparty_uk showing the waves they are making across the regular political spectrum.
Reminiscent of Star Trek, Reform keen to boldly go where no one has gone before.
This campaigning strategy is new and needed.
Reform is now the party of workers.
Today I am inviting trade unions to apply for affiliation with Reform UK.
We also welcome union leaders to attend our national conference in September and engage in discussions about the policies of a future Reform government.
📉 Our @Matthew__Bowles in @CityAM on why government shouldn’t be picking Britain's business winners.
“This should concern all who know economic success is best driven by competition rather than political selection.”

6 years ago today Burnham posted this.
Criminal George Floyd died in police custody in a foreign country.
Burnham used the weight of his Mayoral authority to: “express our revulsion at the manner of George Floyd’s death.”
He claimed the moment demands “more of us.”
Nowak? Young white boy murdered on British streets, arrested as he bled out? Silence.

According to “new government laws” a customer at Nando’s is only allowed one glass of normal coca-cola…
Priorities need to be straightened out and this ridiculous mollycoddling needs to stop
@danny__kruger@Madz_Grant My late father was given 6 months to live, about 7 years before he died. Medicine works.
Had he been a weaker man and taken the option to end his life I would have been robbed of 6.5 years with him.
While none of us are getting out of here alive, in the meantime, choose life.
Teenage gang who lured schoolgirl, 15, to underpass and laughed as they filmed themselves raping her handed youth rehabilitation orders https://t.co/rjymPLCwB6
A gang of Travellers stalked and raped two schoolgirls, one of them at knifepoint. They have, disgracefully, avoided jail.
Vile crimes like these should result in proper punishment.
If sentencing rules allow outcomes like these, the Government must change the rules.

This excellent piece on ProsperityPapers from @jackmrankin makes such an important argument. Much of the parliamentary language used is already taited with socialism.
There is no such thing as "government money" there is only taxpayer money.
Language must be carefully chosen.

@Prosperity_Inst@jackmrankin Language is quite literally the grounds that all debates are fought on. Getting it right is absolutely impertaive to competently taking part in, and ultimately winning any debate.
A hugely insightful piece from @jackmrankin for ProsperityPapers.

“Sensible economic debate in Britain now works on the assumption that governments possess far less room for manoeuvre than they once did.”
