@mikeBithell 6031769 - Original Manic Miner on ZX Spectrum - allegedly Matthew Smith’s Liverpool phone number. Fun fact - the LEGO game I worked on have that number as the random seed in homage.
@xiotex Shiny. It should be good - their Lord of the Rings Journeys in Middle-Earth game works well with the app. Not rushed to get this as I have most of the previous edition.
@JulieLines8 @ps5ukalerts @GAMEdigital Same here. For once I got in quick and got nothing and yet others after me are successful. It seems @GAMEdigital weren’t out of stock at all, just keeping ones for those willing to buy T-shirts and games in bundles. Underhand.
@ps5ukalerts I was in the queue with just 1 minute to wait (before you even tweeted this alert) and all were still out of stock when I was let in. Tried various bundles just in case they were only upselling, but no joy.
@WBLChester @UoCGamesDev@uochester@DrawAndCode@UoCSciEng Absolutely brilliant - well done Lilith. Shows exactly what can be done on a placement with the right attitude and of course great mentorship from both @WBLChester and @DrawAndCode
@iCAdam They do a reenactment musket firing from there every day - been there and seen it myself. Note how he fires into the air. Taken entirely out of context - surprised ITV Channel TV don’t know that. But then, that won’t make good “news” would it?
@mikeBithell Particle systems suffer the same in single precision as they need to be accurate to thousandths of a second. In the LEGO games I coded a time shift that re-zeroed the timers on all the particles every 15 minutes as they got close to 1000 seconds and would lose the precision.
After over 7 years of service, my @fitbit has given up. Sadly, it's time to move on, as even to this day, they haven't released a device as good as the Fitbit One I used.
@Wertle@mikeBithell Quite the opposite. I actually teach the dangers of crunch on my course to the students, why it can occur and how they can avoid it.
