More and more countries and #poultry producers are adopting the #Inovo sexing #vision systems to sort out hatching #eggs. Better #efficiency, improved #welfare, lower #carbon footprint and impact on the planet. Thanks Grabriel with @AnimalInnovate for this excellent review.
We are thrilled to introduce Bulwark Biologics, a new project of Innovate Animal Ag.
Bulwark Biologics is developing electron beam technology to inactivate bacteria for autogenous vaccine production for poultry operations.
We are looking for commercial trial partners for an inactivated Staph vaccine that has shown promise in combating BCO lameness for broiler operations.
But in principle, e-beams can protect against a wide range of pathogens and we hope to explore many more in the future.
We’re looking forward to funding more transformative research in the future. If you or anyone you know is interested in applying for a grant, you can find more information here: https://t.co/nrLswm8hAS
Starting today, Innovate Animal Ag is launching a technology grants program for animal agriculture. We’re funding and supporting technologies that solve producer challenges and have a strong business case (ROI, path to adoption, operational fit).
E-beam vaccines are a promising approach to improve bird health without antibiotics. E-beams inactivate bacteria by targeting DNA while keeping surface proteins intact; early academic studies show stronger results than many chemical methods.
🥚 SPOTTED IN THE WILD! 🥚 While we were in Los Angeles this week we stopped by @WholeFoods to see if we could find @NestFreshEggs Humanely Hatched product, America's first eggs produced with in-ovo sexing technology.
This means no male culling for these eggs. A great moment!
NEW REPORT: Over the last twelve months, American consumers spent approximately $14.5 billion more on eggs than in previous years, roughly doubling the nation’s annual egg expenditures.
1/ NEW RESEARCH: 2025 In-Ovo Sexing Market Penetration & Forecast is live! Our data show in-ovo sexing technology is moving faster than anyone expected.
4/ The US should lead the expansion in the coming years. Three machines are now installed in US hatcheries, @NestFreshEggs will start selling the first ever eggs without culling in the US this summer, and @Walmart added the tech to its supplier guidelines.
