@TeamYouTube I understand that. It's just odd that my "interests" seem to have been reset to "viral videos from 10+ years ago," totally out of the blue. On my TV, the homepage recommendations are normal and as I would expect. My gut feeling is that something odd is happening on YouTube's end

@YouTube what is happening with my homepage? Almost all of the recommendations seem to be completely random, and are not at all topics I care about. Even more bizarre as many of the recommendations are 5, 10, even +15 years old. This is only happening on the mobile app.

@NotRealMartiall Dude, my homepage is actually messed. On the app, it’s only recommending videos that are many years old, and they’re all 45 seconds or less in length. I feel like I’m in the twilight zone. When I access YouTube from my TV, everything looks normal. @YouTube what is happening?!

I.e., i’m having trouble understanding the utility in tracking views this new way. They are extremely low quality views. Not view at all in my opinion.

@YouTubeCreators some feedback I sent in: I wish we could customize our dashboard. I would prefer to see “engaged views”. I made $0.22 on 4K “views”. This was 4K additional “views” on top of the 14K “engaged views”. I’m averaging a 5¢ RPM, on these newly counted “views”.

@YouTubeCreators you should add a feature that allows us to customize our studio dashboard. I’d prefer to only look at “Engaged Views” on longform content. The artificially inflated “views” don’t mean anything.

-Large branches that don’t fit in your oven, use a diluted vinegar, diluted hydrogen peroxide, or diluted chlorhexidine solution to clean the surface. Leave them in your garage or basement for at least a few weeks if not a month or so to ensure they are not harboring any pests.

there’s absolutely nothing wrong with purchasing store-bought branches/decor! But if you’re buying a large quantity, or need something that is a large in size, it is much more efficient to just go outside and collect your own.

Tips for collecting wood/branches from outside 🧵

- small branches can be sterilized in your oven at a temperature of 250°F for two hours (check on the wood every 15 to 20 minutes, do not leave unattended)

- use soap and water to clean off dirt and debris

- I prefer to collect live/ healthy branches. Wood that is beginning to rot on the forest floor is very likely to include unwanted pests.

- choose a location that you can ensure is pesticide and herbicide free (think about mosquito fogging as well)
