@SomeSillyGoosy @TatacawVersus @jaysonbuxton1 It is most definitely not using the definitive parkour mod considering it wasn't even conceived when that video came out lol, only vanilla movement and occasionally niche vanilla tech.

@MisterAlpha444 That isn't to say that I'm a fan of Kenway parkour, either, as it still hosts self eject issues, screws classic cancels up, kills ledge grabs in targeted airtimes etc., but current Shadows movement doesn't come even close.

@MisterAlpha444 I must fully disagree with the notion that Shadows has one of the best systems, because that simply doesn't hold up in the face of its countless targeting issues (hang failures, self ejects, bad context scans), triggering issues and bad priority handling, subpar hold behavior etc

@MisterAlpha444 The intent behind it is great, and the game approaches its additions with a level of restraint and self awareness behind the system's current issues - fixable, but not with flimsy post launch resources. The problem is that these issues are still there, and utterly unavoidable.

@ac_landmarks With reference to the ideal eject properties of the old-schools:

Gaining height while landing on feet
Being able to do them in all directions, or at least 3
Being able to do them unsafely too, without context dependence
Cancellability out of wallruns and climbs

@LeoKRogue While the Fent Drop isn't overly useful or aesthetically pleasing, the Swagmire Grab actually has a good use in classic, unmodded tech 🤓
