The EUAA has launched its Grants Programme. For the first time, the Agency will offer financial grants, with initial projects aiming to support some of the EUAA’s activities, incl. information provision to asylum seekers and strengthening its asylum case law work.

EUAA & Egypt have endorsed a new roadmap for cooperation, aiming to strengthen 🇪🇬 asylum capacity & improve access to protection for vulnerable individuals.

📢 Today, on #EUAntiTraffickingDay, we spotlight the dangers that traffickers pose to vulnerable asylum seekers in search of protection in Europe. Traffickers often exploit those fleeing conflict, making awareness and prevention more critical than ever.

ℹ️ The EUAA supports 🇪🇺 Member States in identifying and assisting possible trafficking victims among asylum applicants.

The EUAA's Consultative Forum #EUAACF, over the past 2 days, brought together civil society from across 🇪🇺 to discuss the state of play of asylum, incl. the Agency's recently adopted #FundamentalRights Strategy and the work ahead on implementing the Pact.

We thank all participants for their contributions as we work towards a stronger and more resilient 🇪🇺 asylum & reception system.

Together, the EUAA & 🇨🇾 International Protection Administrative Court have successfully reduced the backlog of asylum appeals to 5,355 cases over the past 4 years.

At the start of my visit to Cyprus, I congratulated 🇨🇾 Deputy Minister @NickAIoannides on his recent appointment.
