The body of college student Kaushik Saha Jitu (23) was recovered from the Kumar River two days after he went missing while going out to see the Durga Puja celebrations in Faridpur city. The body was recovered by police at around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday from the Kumar River near the Madankhali sluice gate in Bhatilakshmipur, within Faridpur Municipality.

Kaushik Saha Jitu was the son of Kamalesh Saha, a resident of Wireless Para in Faridpur city. He was a bright and promising second-year Honours student in the Department of Chemistry at Government Rajendra College.
