"The miracle is that we rise again out of suffering... The miracle is that we create ourselves anew."
Such a wonderful, wonderful read: https://t.co/jGaZ49cEGM
This 2 hour Stanford lecture will teach you more about how LLMs like ChatGPT & Claude are built than most people working at top AI companies learn in their entire careers.
Bookmark this & give 2 hours today, no matter what. It'll be the most productive thing you do this week.
You have an old Android phone in a drawer right now. Collecting dust. Worth nothing.
Someone built a script that turns it into a full Linux desktop. Or a smart home server. Or a development machine. For free.
It's called linux-android.
One script. No root required. No flashing. No risk of bricking your device. Run it in Termux and your old phone becomes a Linux computer.
Here's what it installs:
→ Full Linux desktop. XFCE4, LXQt, or MATE. Real windowed desktop on your phone. Connect a monitor and keyboard via USB and it looks like a PC.
→ Smart home server. Home Assistant runs on your phone. Control your WiFi lights, plugs, and smart devices from any browser on your network. No cloud needed.
→ GPU acceleration. Snapdragon phones get near-native GPU performance through Turnip Vulkan drivers. Mali GPUs use software fallback.
→ SSH server. Access your phone from any computer on your WiFi. Full terminal. Transfer files. Write code. All from your laptop keyboard.
→ Wine support. Run basic Windows applications on your Android phone through Box64 translation.
→ Audio support. PulseAudio configured automatically.
→ Works on any Android phone with Termux support.
Here's the wildest part:
A Raspberry Pi 4 costs $35 to $75. A used mini PC costs $100+. A VPS costs $5/month forever.
That old phone in your drawer? It has a faster processor, more RAM, a built-in battery backup, WiFi, and a touchscreen. All for $0. You already own it.
A Snapdragon 855 from a 2019 phone still outperforms most entry-level server chips. You're throwing away a computer every time you upgrade your phone.
Not anymore.
One command. One old phone. A full Linux machine.

The brain is designed to learn through constant repetition and active, hands-on involvement. Through such practice and persistence, any skill can be mastered.
You as a single person have more power today than a 20 person company of the past. That's insane. The internet gave you the ability to learn anything. Social media gave you the leverage to reach anyone. AI is giving you the ability to create almost anything. Please don't waste it
Habits so simple you think they’re not worth doing, but have a profound impact on your life:
- Not touching your phone when you wake up
- Not thinking about work after work is done
- Putting a book down once you find an idea worth thinking about
- Setting aside time to do nothing for 10 minutes a day
- Going on a short walk after each meal
- Eating a meal without a screen in front of you
- Saying "I don't know" instead of pretending you do
- Asking "What if this isn't actually a problem?" before trying to solve it
- Letting yourself be bad at something instead of expecting perfection
- Trying to understand something you disagree with instead of looking for flaws
- Defaulting to "no" until you think through the commitment
Just finished recording my Claude Code Essentials Course (12 hours long) Packaging it tomorrow for @freeCodeCamp
I am immediately following this course with Claude Certified Architect study course for the end of the week.
Then we are setting a date for this Claude Code bootcamp.
One movement to rule them all:
Not only is a simple 3-minute deep squat a great way to build strength & mobility in your ankles, knees, hips, and lower back…
It’s also a great gauge of your body’s age.
🚩 If you can’t do it, fix it!
it is really baffling how much lifting heavy weights for 30 minutes a week literally makes every single thing about your life better instantly. i cannot believe i spent so many years of my life not doing this. i wish someone had screamed at me to do this sooner
Never leave your loved one alone in the hospital. Every hour you are allowed to be there, if you are able to, I highly recommend being there.
Be perfectly cordial with staff. But watch over everything like a hawk.
Trust me on this.
Met a patient (51 yr) recently. Known to have diabetes. Few days back around 10 pm, he had slight uneasiness in abdomen and chest, thought it was ‘gastric’ and went to a pharmacy who gave him antacids.
Didn’t get better in an hour so decided to visit a hospital casualty where ECG and other tests were done, and it turned out it was a heart attack (MI) and he underwent angioplasty.
Moral: Do not ignore “gastric” discomfort or chest uneasiness especially in someone with diabetes. It might not be acidity.
Poor hip health will ruin your life.
• Destroys posture
• Decreases mobility
• Increases chances of death
Yet, 99% of people ignore them until it’s too late…
Here’s everything you need to know to protect & strengthen your hip joints:
Computer Networking 101 (Mini-Course) 🧐
Why bother with learning about L2 broadcast domains if most of the day-to-day work happens ot L3 and above?
Well, IP routing runs on top of Ethernet - computers can only send packets to their direct neighbours. When things go sideways (and they will), and your packets stop being delivered as expected, understanding lower-level concepts, such as ARP broadcasts and "on-link" destinations, will be essential to successfully troubleshoot the incident (and impress your colleagues).
Take the course, you won't regret it! Completely free, just a few lessons, highly illustrated, and with half a dozen hands-on labs https://t.co/Cm4NTgcjK9
Did not expect a question that starts out 'Do you think before you speak?' to go so well. A+ question from Charlotte Harpur A++ response from Eileen Gu.
