Class 1 and 2 very much enjoyed our trip out to listen to Benji Davies read and talk about his story ‘The Storm Whale’. We even met some story celebrities along the way!

Year 2 had a fantastic day at their local mosque. Iman Hassan taught them all about the Islamic faith. They loved dressing up in traditional clothing and taking part in a Wudu (cleansing) ceremony.

Year one have enjoyed their trip to the mosque this morning. They learned so much about Islam from Imam Hassan and can't wait to share it with the other children in Class 2. We tried on some Arabic clothing and had a go at wudu, the cleaning Muslims do before prayer.

An amazing visit today from @RoamingReptile3. The children had such a great time getting hands on with them.

Class 2 have been learning about how and why Muslims pray. We even had a prayer mat to see. We learned that Muslims face Mecca when they pray and that they pray 5 times a day. We also learned that they must wash before praying as a sign of respect to Allah.
